This is the most recent studio effort for Love Like Blood. More recently they have released an album of covers, paying tribute to bands that have inspired them over the years.
Enslaved/Condemned is consistent, yet a little uneven in the quality of songs. Some songs are definite standouts for me, while others kind of blend into the mix. If there is ever another 'best of' by LLB, it would be strengthened by these songs: Silver Shot, 7 Seconds (by Neneh Cherry), Bleeding, and a couple others whose titles I cannot remember without seeing the tracklist. Most of the rest of this album is not filler, just typical, less-memorable LLB gothic rock songs. Definitely worth the time of LLB fans, but not necessarily their best effort (check out Snakekiller). |
