The device connects to almost any portable audio device on one end and to a vehicle's power outlet or cigarette lighter socket on the other. The transmitter works as it is supposed to, but the interference I get spoils the quality of audio to the point where I don't really enjoy listening to music. I don't know whether this is a problem with all FM based transmitters or specific to this one.

This one works out ok for me because I use it mainly to listen to audiobooks so don't particularly care about audio quality.
