This new band with influences of the best thrash from 80s goes down with the best of them. These guys know there thrash, with some heavy and catchy riffs and plenty of solos, and ranging from mid to fast pace, its got everything that good old thrash needs. Fans of classic thrash metal like Slayer, devastation, exodus, Demolition Hammer, onslaught, exhumer Bloodfeast, At war, and even some early annihilator. Simply put if you like Thrash Metal then you will love this.

Evile has come up with their first album and it's a winner! I've been watching the band for a while now and own a couple of their demos but this is their first album and if you're into thrash metal you'll love it. Think back to the early 80's and how bands like Slayer, Testament, and Anthrax used to sound when they were first coming out. These guys have a sound of their own but it's in that style. This is the first new thrash album I've bought in over a decade because it's the best new one by any thrasher in over a decade. Get used to these guys cause' they are the new name in thrash. What Testament was in America in the 80's these guys are in the new millennium in Europe. But don't just take it from me listen to the samples on this page and hear for yourself, if you don't love it then your probably not into old school thrash.

Earache Records laid waste to thrash in the early 90's by unleashing death metal. In a strange twist of fate, they're contributing to the vibrant rebirth of thrash with Evile. Had this been released 16 years earlier, I would swear it's Sodom's follow-up to "Agent Orange" under a new band name. This fits to a T right between "Agent..." and Sodom's next album, "Better Off Dead," in every aspect--from the clean Harris Johns-like production, to the lyrical content, to the vocals, to the rapid-fire jigga-jigga-jigga guitar rhythms.

Thrash purists will love Evile's debut. There is absolutely nothing new school about this. No hardcore breakdowns; no inhuman, synthesized guitar solos; no whiney poppy emo refrains. Just pure, mature thrash à la 1990.

Earache likens Britian's Evile to a handful of 80's thrash bands, but the songs are extremely consistant and well executed in the Sodom vein. You might recognize an early Metallica riff here and there, but then, the same can be said of Sodom on "Better Off Dead."

To be honest, i hate this album at first, its sounds like generic thrash band from 80's with typical thick modern sounding but after listening to the first few songs for few times i can say its an awesome thrash album.. it sounds really powerfull and for 80's traditional thrash music fans you can't go wrong with this album... it will reminds you of band like exodus or even possessed. I can guarentee there's no metalcore element on this album and for those who's looking for a straight fast & thrashy music you can give this album some listen and judge yourself.

of the Bay Area style from the time when thrash was still thrash. This cd has it all.Speeeeed, Thrash, Heaviness, all of it! Every track is solid, with the exception of the last track which is so blistering it sounds like a tornado on the back of a freight train. By far the best thrash album of the year. A friend of mine listened to it and said it was too generic, so i told him to go listen to dream theater if he wants complicated stupidity in his metal. What a Jackass he is, but anyway, if you still bang your head to thrashers like Defiance, Annihilator, Xentrix, then do not hesitate to get this one and Enter the Grave.....

i just saw these guys live on dec. 18 in salt lake city,utah with gamma bomb and d.r.i they are an amazing live act and really nice guys to have a beer with, no ego at all any album they have out is worth owning,one more reason to hate fake rock like nickleback or three doors down!

I thought this was a really awesome sounding thrash album from Evile, whom i never hear of. But when i found out the Flemming (Master of Puppets, Lightning, ...And Just For All) was behind the production i really got pumped. Yes its all been heard and done before, but for some reason this realllly takes you back to the old days of Thrash, and sounds like 1987 not 2007. I wish Flemming had stuck with tallica, and bob would have stuck with [...] bands, maybe he could have saved them from themselves. But back to this album, you can here every and i mean EVERY thrash band out there in them, everything from Anthrax, to Metallica, Sepultura, Death Angel, Megadeth and Kreator. Now are they as unique or talented, well yes and no. The riffs are just basic speed riffs, but done very very well, the singer is enh, ok. He needs to break his monotone voice and break out with some more chorus, or screams, or high range stuff or something. I believe these guys are definitely on the right track even though thrash isnt really common practice here in america anymore, sorry to say. But boy i hope they get a big underground scene and bring it to at least the crowd that bands like Exodus, Testament, and Overkill have, that would be great, but dont count on it. Just pray, because these guys def. define the word THRASH METAL!!

I grew up listening to thrash bands like Anthrax, Testament, Megadeth and Slayer. As most of you know, the thrash movement took a nose dive in the early 90's. With that said, a "thrash revival" has been taking place for the last few years, producing a handful of bands that have potential, then there's Evile. Evile hails from Britain and is the current cream of the crop in my opinion! The production is top notch, the songwriting is classic thrash, the music is classic thrash, and a fitting vocalist for the genre. Basically, there's nothing out of sync here. This band is hitting on all cylinders and their debut reflects that. If you like classic thrash and are longing for a quality, new band, then Evile is your answer, plain and simple!

Since its heyday in the mid to late 80's, thrash metal has been marginalized, crossed over, and obscured. The new wave of thrash metal, led by bands like Evile, Bonded by Blood, and Gama Bomb, seeks to bring back pure, old-school thrash in all it's chugging, shredding glory. Enter the Grave by Evile is a perfect example of this attempt to reclaim thrash's status as the definitive sub-genre of metal.

"Enter the Grave", "Thrasher", "First Blood", and "Armoured Assault" are visceral, bang-your-head-until-you-fall-over thrash metal war manifestos, where speed and technicality are melded in a way that would make Kerry King and Kirk Hammett nod in approval.

But it's not all speed; even on their first album, Evile can appreciate the power that comes from a build up to a blistering pace. "We Who are About to Die" and "Bathe in Blood" are the best examples of what may be the basis for epics later in their career.

The subject matter isn't the most thoughtful, nor is the singing melodic in the slightest. But in some ways, this is the Kill 'Em All of the next generation. And if Evile can mature in its songwriting abilities and grow as artists themselves, their next album may just be this generation's "Ride the Lightning".

Amazing album. I work at a warehouse and listen to metal on my stereo they let me keep there. I brought in my new Evile CD one night and when the track Bathe in Blood came on, everything just stopped where we were working. Someone came up to me and said "hell f'n yes, now that is some metal rite thar". This whole album is great with a few tracks that are just killer. Any thrash fan will be happy with this purchase.
