Decent If You Want Flamenco Guitar music on DVD Audio But..., July 30, 2002
This is good if you want to hear Flamenco Guitar music on DVD Audio. It also comes with two tracks performed live which are nice. The mixing splits the instruments between the 5.1 channels well, although the bass is somewhat low and sometimes the trumpets have a shrill sound. But as Flamenco Guitar music goes, I don't see what the fuss is all about. I bought this based on the reviews below, but I don't see this as any better than Ottmar Liebert or even Oscar Lopez in terms of sheer technical virtuosity. And some of the arrangements are pretty cliched and mundane. Ottmar Liebert is more inventive. I feel cheated in that respect. If you want to hear some guitar playing that is technically brilliant and emotionally powerful, listen to John Williams, "Classic Williams: Romance of the Guitar." Its mostly classical guitar, and its better than this.

It enters the heart with romance!, June 7, 2000

This cd is a romantic blend of spanish guitar and a warm vibe of passion. All his work is beyond perfection, but his talents are displayed very well in this particular album. His passions, love, feelings and spirit are all wrapped up in his performance and it definately shines through. You'll be enrichly found at peace after listening to this album. It makes you want to walk barefoot on the beach with your significant other and dance barefoot through the crashing waves. Overall, this is a romantic and sensual style of music.

Music of the heart..., June 29, 2000
By A Customer
There are so many words to descibe the art of the sound of Esteban...romantic, sensual, moving...and the list goes on. Esteban was trained under Segovia and he not only has the musical skill of this reknown artist, but also his soul. When you close youur eyes and listen to Esteban you are transported to magical lands and romantic places. His recent shift from solely Flamenco style music to more modern and pop standards only lends a richer palette of experience to the Esteban afficionado. This is music for anyone who has ever loved, lost, or lamented as it gets to the romance deep within all our hearts.
