4.0 out of 5 stars It enters the heart with romance!
This cd is a romantic blend of spanish guitar and a warm vibe of passion. All his work is beyond perfection, but his talents are displayed very well in this particular album. His passions, love, feelings and spirit are all wrapped up in his performance and it definately shines through. You'll be enrichly found at peace after listening to this album. This is good if you want to hear Flamenco Guitar music on DVD Audio. It also comes with two tracks performed live which are nice. The mixing splits the instruments between the 5.1 channels well, although the bass is somewhat low and sometimes the trumpets have a shrill sound.

This is good if you want to hear Flamenco Guitar music on DVD Audio. It also comes with two tracks performed live which are nice. The mixing splits the instruments between the 5.1 channels well, although the bass is somewhat low and sometimes the trumpets have a shrill sound.
But as Flamenco Guitar music goes, I don't see what the fuss is all about. I bought this based on the reviews below, but I don't see this as any better than Ottmar Liebert or even Oscar Lopez in terms of sheer technical virtuosity. And some of the arrangements are pretty cliched and mundane. Ottmar Liebert is more inventive. I feel cheated in that respect.

If you want to hear some guitar playing that is technically brilliant and emotionally powerful, listen to John Williams, "Classic Williams: Romance of the Guitar." Its mostly classical guitar, and its better than this.

It makes you want to walk barefoot on the beach with your significant other and dance barefoot through the crashing waves. Overall, this is a romantic and sensual style of music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music of the heart..., June 29, 2000
By A Customer

There are so many words to descibe the art of the sound of Esteban...romantic, sensual, moving...and the list goes on. Esteban was trained under Segovia and he not only has the musical skill of this reknown artist, but also his soul. When you close youur eyes and listen to Esteban you are transported to magical lands and romantic places. His recent shift from solely Flamenco style music to more modern and pop standards only lends a richer palette of experience to the Esteban afficionado. This is music for anyone who has ever loved, lost, or lamented as it gets to the romance deep within all our hearts.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning! Before You Buy THIS CD!, June 20, 2001

Please note that this page does not say anything about needing a special CD player to play this CD. It requires the use of a DTS decoder which is not on most common CD players. Not even my DVD player can play it! Now I can't return it because the CD has been opened. What a waste of money.

I saw Esteban in person last Saturday night and I have to have this ablum. He played several selections from this album and they were all magical: his fingers are magic. His interpretations of various classics, including several of the Beatles' songs are incredible. He truly has "magic fingers!"

5.0 out of 5 stars I Entered and I don't want to leave, August 2, 2002

This review is for the DTS version of this album. I never heard of Esteban before until I started to look around at DTS audio music. Since only a few artists/record companies are taking some risks and investing in producing these type of albums, the selection is few. After I heard a few samples from here on Amazon, I decided to try this one out and believe me, this one is a definite keeper. The music is just mezmerizing. I thought it would make great background music but with this one, you stop, drop, and roll at the amazing sounds that will be coming from your speakers. Sound separation is great and spaced out just right. The concert videos that are on the DTS DVD sound good but look a little cheesy (they are also in 5.1 DTS). If you have a home theater setup with DTS ability, get this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo, maestro!, February 23, 2005
This review is from: Enter The Heart (Audio CD)
I think, and I certainly hope so that amazon.com will STOP this Fernando guy writing gibberish about Esteban. Comments like "this is not a guitar", or "Esteban plays beginner-like" hurt only amazon.com to have some insecure person and obviously Esteban heater on their sites. If you listen to Esteban just for 20 seconds you will realize how senseless it is to call him "beginner". It's just ridiculous, even for those who hate him.
I recommend all of the Esteban music to everybody. It will relax you and if you are by chance starting a guitar, motivate you to go on. Esteban is one of the best guitarists. Bravo, maestro!

The recording, the artists, and the music selection and arangements were wonderful. The recording is of the type that Accoutic Alchamey and Jesse Cook are, but this goes beyond. My personal music collection/taste does not consist of very many accoustic guitar artist, but this recording will touch anyone, especially anyone who enjoys well played contemporary jazz
