I haven't done a lot with experiential programming, but this book has a ton of material for the price, and it's all fairly easy to adapt. It seems to be intended for use as an event over several hours/days - the handouts talk about stations building on one another (typed at the bottom: "Leave your handouts in a stack for the next group, and move on to the next station.) I think senior high students could follow the transitions if you use if for youth group from week to week, but it's a bit much for junior high students to stay connected. I've still used it with my group of 6th - 12th graders and it's working well. Much better than traditional pedantic style teaching curriculum.

I used this book 2 years ago with my high school Sunday School class - it engaged the students and brought a real hands on learning approach. The students enjoyed it and we had lots of good discussions from each "experience". It easily adapts to using each section over a period of weeks or doing a whole section in a single day - which we did Maundy Thursday with the stations of the cross. We invited the congregation to participate and people really enjoyed it and were blessed by it. And it can be adapted to younger kids too - it's definitely one of my favorites!!

An excellent way for students to experience God's story. I used it a few different ways. T he journey to the cross was so profound, we shared it at a church conference. There stations can be a lot of work to set up, but it gives young leaders a way to be creative and develop their skills. One year I combined with Novelli's Shaped by the Story to give my Jr High Students a overall view of God's amazing story.
