I have to say it was one of the most powerful, memorable, truthful, and yet peaceful things I have ever gone through. It was truly life changing for me and I'm not that new to metaphysics or spirituality. I am very familiar with Caroline's other works and I have to say that this one is very different - it has a different purpose. You can tell when you listen to it that it is coming from a different place than her other books/CDs. The title "Entering the Castle: Exploring Your Mystical Experience of God" is really quite accurate. You go inside of your soul (your castle) and explore it from a viewpoint that you have never seen before. It lays out the path to overcome so many things that we have been taught here in our lives that have really hindered our growth as a people. It is time for the world to change, and this CD set (sounds kinda funny, but it's true) can do that - it can change the world. All you must do is listen to it and explore your castle.

You will learn how to go through your problems and raise your energy to soaring altitudes never before felt.

I highly recommend this - if you like Caroline's work or you don't like her work - this is a must.

For years I have been a huge fan of Caroline and thought she was a genius and looked forward to every new CD of hers. Over the years, I have purchased them all. But somewhere along the line, Caroline has grown very contemptuous of her own audience. She is not the kind, funny and briliant teacher anymore that wrote Anatomy of the Spirit and Energy Anatomy. Her important subject is lost among the extreme contempt she shows of people attending her lectures and the general public listening to her CDs. She is judgemental, shrill and just downright nasty now. She used to be a great teacher and you could focus on her message. But she is so critical of her audience now that the spiritual message is completely drowned out. After constant beratement, the listener is then supposed to immediately be in the mood for her meditations! The level of her hostility is startling considering the holiness of her subject matter. She trashes what she calls New Agers, while her financial success is fully rooted in the era of the New Age. She scolds us not to be judgemental at the end of the series, all the while judging her listeners the whole time! She tells us not to have the nerve to have New Age visions and to keep silent about our journey with God, yet at the end of the CD series she seems to delight in bragging about her being contacted by Theresa. Caroline needs to follow her own advice. I will not be buying any future works of Caroline and this saddens me. However, there are many other excellent spiritual teachers who don't hold the people that have made them wealthy in such distain, and I will be buying their works instead from now on. I'll also go back to Caroline's earlier works when she was a kinder, gentler person.

Like many of the other reviewers, I am an avid consumer of Caroline Myss' work. I appreciate her visionary grasp on what is possible when we allow ourselves to not only touch the soul but be guided by it.

That said, I was a bit taken aback by this series and not certain how to respond them. Caroline has always been a critic of self-serving New Age beliefs and practices, but in this CD set she launches a no holds barred attack on not only those teachings, but on those who follow them. At several points she not only scolds but demands that people "Grow up!" and "Stop being a baby!". Personally, I agree with most of her assessment. I've traveled in New Age circles for quite some time, and even though I find much of it helpful, there is an infantilizing, victim-glorifying, self-serving element to many of the teachings and therapies that seem to encourage people to, as Caroline says, "lead with their wounds". However, Caroline's delivery of this message is so berating and punitive at times it's startling. In an odd way, her Dr. Laura-esque style is probably appealing to the forever "wounded" crowd, because it fits well into the "wounding" paradigm. Caroline's message on this is a powerful and necessary counterbalance to all of the materialistic fluff we're getting overloaded with due to "The Secret" and other "enlightenment and fulfillment in three easy steps" methods. It's a shame that her approach is so alienating.

However, once you dig underneath the berating words, there are real nuggets of wisdom here. This is a CD set I will turn to again and again because, as always, Caroline's insightful understanding of spiritual development rings true down to my bones. She wants to bring reverence, respect, and devotion back to spiritual development and practice and this is a laudable mission. The path she recommends is arduous and the immediate rewards few and fleeting, but what else would you expect from a journey to your soul?

I will say however, that I will think twice before signing up for one of her workshops for this. I need my spiritual counseling to be a bit more compassionate and to come from a teacher who's able to express the same level of humility she is requesting of those who seek her message.

I love Caroline and have learned much from her. However, I found this audio program irritating for a number of reasons.

First, over and over, Caroline berates what I call spiritual entrepreneurs and the whole "spa like" culture and "Secret" type prescriptions you find in New Age spirituality. I agree, but she sounds like the Catholic nuns I endured for 8 years. She is shrill and preachy and a bit hypocritical since I don't know of anyone benefiting more from spiritual entrepreneurship than Caroline.

Without spiritual entrepreneurs her message would not be out, so lighten up a bit. I have learned with these spiritual "guru's", like Caroline, that what you lean in AA is very useful, "Take what you want and leave the rest."

Also her continual haranguing to the listener about how we all fall short of the mark, which maybe we do, leaves me cold. She really doesn't know me and her insinuations may or may not be the case. Perhaps some projections are going on.

Finally, the guided mediations, while a good idea, just didn't do much for me after enduring the preaching.

Nice try Caroline, but not your best work in my opinion.

Entering the Castle has showed me where my treasure is... within. I experienced entering my own castle and it continues to be quite a journey. Caroline's passion is so embedded into this work, that it is hard for me to read accusations of her being too "preachy" or "condescending". Rather, I see a woman who has experienced the Divine and who demands of herself and the listener the utmost reverence and gratitute for the journey itself. She has judgments like we all do, but please realize that this journey is not about what you can create or get, but instead, it is about going into yourself and dialoguing with the GOD presence within to find out how you can be of service to yourself, the people around you and the world, by becoming a channel for grace!!! Manifestation is awesome, but this work's purpose is not to teach you or help you manifest. If that's what you're looking for then watch "The Secret" or read " The Science of Getting Rich" . If you are aching for a deeper communion with your soul and God, then look no further. A direct connection with your soul is beyond words! Blessings to all.

Caroline is truly brilliant in this series. She utilizes a combination of detailed explanations of each of the mansions, dialogue to help us hold ourselves accountable on the journey, and guided experiences in each of the mansions. She sets out an excellent guideline of where to start in each of the mansions with suggestions and ideas to continue on your own.

Her direct and honest approach helps me see through deeper to myself. Going into the rooms of the mansions is a different experience each and every time. The process has already been life changing for me and I know this is a set of CD's that I will be listening to again and again.

We are starting a study group to work through the book and the CD's together - if that's of interest to you; gather a group of friends to embark upon the journey with you.

I think this book is very well written, and a lot of insight but I am starting to get confuse about her vision and believes compare to her earlier work since " spiritual power, spiritual practice" & " sacred contract". A lot of stuff she teach before now is totally "too new age" or not good anymore. if you just discover her work for the first time, I would highly suggest to start with "spiritual power, spiritual practice" a more gentle, inspirational teaching compare to this title, especially if you get the audio book version, you might be offended, bothered by her harsh tone and sharp tongue, doesn't make you feel good after you listen 1/2 way through the 1st CD !! and there are 9 CD total!

I've been a long time follower to ms. Myss' teaching. I've learned so much from her and she was truly inspirational. My very first CD of hers was " Spiritual power Spiritual practice" back then she was this loving, gentle spiritual teacher. but over the years she has become this angry, judgmental person I feel like I am being abused mentally and spiritually just from listening to her CDs.

I was listening to her programs on [...] and during her halloween special, she did mentioned that she saw all the negative reviews on amazon.com saying people mentioned that she is harsh and have sharp tongue towards to her listeners. She defend herself by saying the reason she do this is because she saw people has so much potential to grow, she just doesn't want to see their "potential " going into waste or something like that. Ms. Myss, the reason we wrote this review is because we all think you were an awesome spiritual teacher and we are writing this out of love to hope you can realize that you've turn into your own shadow side of archetype. To help, Inspire, shine lights onto other people, not by shreding people apart!!

I was very offended by one sections of her "entering the castle" CD, she was telling a story about she met a man at the airport or somewhere and the man who just recovered from a very serious car accident and was telling Caroline how he felt that there must be a reason why he had survived from the deadly accident and guess hat Ms. Myss said to him " well, why should there be any reason you survived? maybe you were just not watching where you were going that's why you were in the accident! maybe that's the EXACT reason because you weren't watching where you were going! and you think your so special that's why God save you and didn't take you? and you think you are so special that after surviving the accident that God will reward you with all the good things in life, everything will go your way and like surviving is not rewarding enough? ...." and the man answered to her " well I can't accept that, I just can't go on believing in that..."

Ms. Myss, did you hear what you were telling this man? either it's a made up stories or real, if you were so enlightened, you DO NOT shred people apart, smash their hope in life by forcing what you believe is right down to other people's throat! if that man is not a made up character from your story, he had just suffered from an serious accident, I think wouldn't it be so much better that you can give him some inspirational words, shining some lights on to him ( as you always suggesting ) and make him feel there is still hope and love in the world? instead pushing him over the edge by shredding him apart?

I still remembered from your " Spiritual power, Spiritual practice" CD, one thing I still believed you said that had helped me a lot is " .... everything happened for a perfect reason, no matter how small is it, and all things happened with the best intention of you in mind from the universe...." you also made an example like " .... you were driving and the red lights keeps showing up to stop you on the road, instead of getting mad and pissed about you are going to be late, maybe the signal lights purposely keep stopping you because the people you suppose to meet or things you are going to experience are not ready for you yet.....even a small thing like this are all happened for a good and divine reason.". where did the gentle, kind, loving teacher went? I highly doubt it's the success or wealth you've made over the years that turns you into this angry monster you've become. Deep down inside we all still believed you are a great teacher but seems like you forgot what you teach when you started.

Maybe it's time for you to re-visit the very FIRST mansion and get rid of your ego, anger and the most basic "shadows" that made you this sharp tongue, harsh person. If this attitude is still in your next CD, I think a lot of us will stop buying your products!

also, yes, I do agree that just using aromatherapy, crystals without really going deep inside to work on the spirit is not going work, the stone will remain a stone and the fragrant essence oils will just be something smelling good, but please DO NOT trash other spiritual teachers, healing methods that does not fit your ideal or believes. If that's really true, please take off all those "sacred candles", "Sacred stone necklaces" and all those "New Age" stuff you are so angry about off your website and stop selling those, otherwise you are just putting your foot into your mouth!

Last word, we all spend time to write these reviews because we think you can go back to be the great teacher you were when you started. Anyone who is new to caroline myss' teaching, I would NOT suggest to get this "entering the castle" CD or Book or the previous 5 titles ( your power to create...ect), start with her earlier works, it's more insightful and inspirational than any of her later works! because no one, no matter how "stupid" or " not enlighten" enough, whom she referred in this book " those people who can't handle the spiritual journey that should go back to the kitchen to peel potatos" should take this kind of verbal abuse from her and having her negative angry energy to get into your energy field.

This is Caroline Myss' most powerful set of CDs yet!
It seems some people reviewing here mistake Caroline's passion and zeal for personal criticism. They've missed the point! Sometimes we need people like her to shock us a bit, to wake us up from our sleepy unconscious state. If you truly want to experience the Castle's beauty and truth, you'll look past her sometimes stringent tone to savor the wisdom she offers. (Like everything else: take what's blest and leave the rest!)
Drawing her inspiration from the work of St. Teresa of Avila, Caroline presents this highly charged, enlightening series of lectures on what it means to dive deeply into a mystical exploration of the soul.
She does a masterful job outlining our spiritual landscape and then guiding us on the inner journey. We do not get this level of spiritual insight from many other audio series! (And I buy a lot of them.) Caroline Myss is a brilliant lecturer and one of a handful of premier teachers for our age. These CDs are wonderfully produced and can be listened to over and over again with new insights upon each listening.
We are blessed to have Caroline Myss and blessed to have access to this masterfully inspiring work. Highly recommended.

I couldn't even get through the all the CD's. When she was active as a medical intuitive, then her work shined. It's when she veered off course into subjects such as "grace", that she lost me. I don't need to be scolded and name calling is definitely something that I will not tolerate and if I was to hear her carry on in a workshop like that, well, I'd have to leave. On one of her earlier CD's, I can recall her saying that she doesn't read letters of criticism, so she probably doesn't read online reviews either. Arrogant! No matter. It's the buyer that should beware. She preaches humility but she sure doesn't practice it. I haven't renewed my online newsletter either because of her mean spirited attitude towards her students in general and New Agers in particular, who are her bread and butter, whether she admits to it or not. Her earlier work...love it! Now, though, she's full of herself and I'm going to resist the urge to purchase any more of her work because I know it will just be more of the same angry diatribe and I just do not need it!
