5.0 out of 5 stars Belongs on bookshelves of all "SharePoint people"
I Love this book! The direct manner in which the solutions are presented is exactly the way I think all technical books should be written; give the reader what they want without the fluff. This book is packed with so many meaningful examples that I think it belongs on the bookshelves of all serious SharePoint people. In particular, SharePoint developers will get a lot out...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok book
This book is okay but it is really for if you want to learn by building an entire application. If thats what you want then its good but as a reference book it was not easy to find exactly what I wanted. With that said I have not read the entire thing because I look for specific items when I need them.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to Really Get Things Done, April 26, 2011

This book shows you how to REALLY get things done with SharePoint, without requiring a programming background. Unlike most other books that give you either a broad overview of how to do something or shows you one small project, this goes into detail on how to construct and entire enterprise application.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for learning the power of the SharePoint and InfoPath platform, March 14, 2011
This review is from: Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint 2010 - Creating an End-to-End Application without Code (Paperback)
I'm a pretty experienced Office and SharePoint user. I've been working with the various platforms since 2001. I was very interested in this book because it claimed to show users how to build end-to-end applications without the need for writing code. I have to say it delivers. It's a very through book that literally walks you through step-by-step of how to create an absence tracking application. In the end, the application worked! and I even learned a few things along the way. Definitely worth picking up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Packed with Learning, May 29, 2011
This review is from: Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint 2010 - Creating an End-to-End Application without Code (Paperback)
This is a good book! Ira takes an effective approach to teaching you how to combine powerful features of SharePoint such as Lists, Libraries, InfoPath Eletronic Forms, Business Connectivity Services and SharePoint Designer Workflow.

Ira lives up to his promise of demonstrating enterprise applications on SharePoint without code. and along the way, you learn a valuable tip on how to combine these technologies on every page. As someone who specializes in Business Process Automation and Workflow, I use just about all the techniques he demonstrates in this book on every project I work on, and I was pleasantly surprised by just how much practical and useful advice Ira managed to fit into one book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the type of books we need, April 30, 2011
This review is from: Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint 2010 - Creating an End-to-End Application without Code (Paperback)
To be clear, I have not read this book yet, but I have been working with Ira on sharing this book with the SharePoint community, because it focuses on areas that are in great demand: InfoPath/SharePoint solutions and showing how to build an entire solution step-by-stepl. I am a former InfoPath MVP and current SharePoint MVP who loves to build codeless solutions using InfoPath, SharePoint Designer, and SharePoint (2007 and 2010), so when I learned about this book, it was something I jumped on right away. I have gotten copies for my team members, since many of them build these types of solutions for customers, and I have given some to members of our user group.

On my blog, I get tons of hits on the articles that show detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to build a working, usable, valuable technique within InfoPath. Now, take that approach and put it into an entire solution, and you have Ira's book.
