5.0 out of 5 stars It's hard to make a chair interesting..., November 8, 2002

...but the Art Asylum pulled it off. Archer and Reed make up this first series of Enterprise "Broken Bow" deluxe figures, and I can only hope that even more are on the way (I know for a fact that there will be at least two more). The bridge base and chair themselves are extremely detailed. The chair even has a padded feel since it's made out of a rubbery material fitted over hard plastic. The base also spouts several sounds and lines of dialouge from the show.

The Captain Archer figure was made using scans of Scott Bakula himself, so you know it's gotta be extremely lifelike.

The only drawback that this toy has is the fact that Archer comes with no accessories. I would've gladly sacrificed the toy's sound effects for a phase pistol, communicator, and scanner.

All in all, the deluxe Captain Archer toy is a great collectors' item, and is a great beginning in this series of deluxe figures.

Highly detailed with authentic sounds, this piece makes a wonderful toy or display item. Sounds include the Captains voice, bridge sounds, and special effects that are just dynamite! The action figure itself is well balanced and highly detailed. A great likeness of Captain Archer. A must-have for any Star Trek collector worth their salt.

5.0 out of 5 stars So where is Mayweather???, February 21, 2009

I purchased all three of the Enterprise Bridge set (Archer, T'Pol and Reed) when they first came out and they look great on my shelf in my studio. But I am STILL freaking angry at Art Asylum for not releasing the Mayweather pilot section. Now the series will always be incomplete! If they weren't going to release it, they NEVER should have promoted it.
