One of the very best Awdry titles,

Gordon grows up in this very well written book and gets to meet his twin, the LNER's famous "Flying Scotsman". Henry is jealous of FS's two tenders, and this earns him a comeuppance. However, he redeems himself in the next story by a "Super Rescue" of two of the dreaded diesels. Finally, Douglas rescues a Great Western tank engine from scrap.
