5.0 out of 5 stars the best peale book i've read, March 10, 2004
By
This book is by far the best of about 3 Norman Vincent Peale books I have read. While it does tend to repeat stories from his other books(after reading a couple I think they all do), it also has the ability to make you motivated into doing something right now. Peale has the ability to make you want to do something with your life right now and not wait until tommorrow comes. I've notice his advice of just "putting a smile on your face everyday" really works and I think it will for you as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great read, February 12, 2009
By
Written before the power of positive thinking(same author),this book is a helpful read in setting moods, attitudes, and tones for life. Though Peale is a Pastor, he does a great job in not alienating those who do not share the same faith. This book can be read by anyone who has an open mind and wants effective tools to create positive energy in their life.

5.0 out of 5 stars If You're Ready to Quit, Read This First, April 24, 2009
I have to honestly say that I have been deeply influence by Dr. Peale over the years. The reason is that I have read quite a few of his books, but I have also seen a different side of Christianity by reading him.

In this book he explains that "en theos" the Greek term for enthusiasm actually means in God. By having a relationship with God, we can develop enthusiasm for life. By developing this enthusiasm, it will change us and help us change our lives.

Dr. Peale gives valuable tips and scripture to help you change your life. He teaches that Christianity isn't just something you do on Sunday, it's a way to live. It is also a way of living that helps you solve your problems, learn to get along with others, and find joy and peace. Having a positive outlook can actually help you change your life.

Even if you have read the Power of Positive Thinking, I would still highly recommend you read this one too as Dr. Peale further expands on the principles he outlines in his first book.
