Laura Pausini's latest CD is a winner. This album contains fourteen solid songs that will revive her status as an international singer with worldwide appeal. "Somos Hoy," the opening song on the CD, quickly establishes the feeling that she has chosen to go back to the sounds and rhythems of one of her best selling CD's, Las Cosas Que Vives. The collection alternates between upbeat tracks like "Un Error de Los Grandes," with its driving guitar and pumping bass line, to several slower songs in the grand style, with slowly building finishes, including "Quiero Decirte" and the most emotional song of all, "Vivre." The one English language cut on the CD, "The Extra Mile," appears in the "Pokemon 2000" movie and is a traditional sentimental soundtrack song. But overall, this album is a must have for ardent fans of Laura Pausini as well as curious buyers who want to sample the international pop music scene. She co-wrote most of the lyrics on this album, which was produced in Hollywood with help from the London Chamber Orchestra on some songs. The sound quality of this CD is great with Pausini's voice coming through strong and clear. I predict that "Musica Sera" will be released as a single and you may hear it soon on Latin radio stations across the country.

Well, here it is at last, the album I've waited for over a year, I remember when I spoke to Laura about a year ago and she told me about her new album that would come out in October she said, it was actually realeased earlier, she didn't want to tell me anything about the new songs or titles, but I rested assured it would be awesome, I had heard good things about it from her staff, now that I went to Italy to hear her sing the album, in an unplugged version, it is absolutely stunning to me, how her voice flows to the light music, I have to open my heart, mind and soul when I listen to her because she gives me so much, as I sat there infront of her and heard her sing "Entre tu y Mil Mares" the spanish version of " Tra te e il Mare " tears rolled down my face, she started out singing it very very softly with her eyes closed, her energy came right through me and then she started to sing faster to the music with her high and powerful voice, I identified myself with that song, it's about a story of when a woman is tired of waiting, hoping and beleiving, barely hanging on to a promise that has been broken thousands of times before, it's like being between the loved one and a thousand seas that is exactly the title of this new song.

Then there's " La Meta De Mis Viajes" it means " The goal of my Journey " she sings it to her father, putting aside what people will say, what the press will write she opens her heart and makes it transparent singing and admitting to the fact that she learned to sing and fight, risking all and even more because of her father.

Laura is the most real person I have ever met, her heart burstes with Love and compassion for others, her smile captivates everyone, she is a true friend, like the wonderful human being that she is, she writes and she sings, defenitely the goal of my journey to find myself.

Well, what else can I say I can honestly write endlessly about this album but I still could not possible transmit to you what it is like , so go out buy this album wait untill you are alone, sit down and open your heart to the melody and the feeling of Laura's life!

En estos tiempos en los cuales la musica banal domina el hit parade, un disco como "Entre tu y mil mares" viene a recordarnos el poder de la musica hermosa. El cd es una coleccion de bellisimas canciones que tocaran tu alma, provocandote escalofrios. Es la magia de Laura: tal vez existan cientos de cantantes con mejor voz, mejores arreglos y letras; pero pocas, muy pocas, trasmiten lo que Laura con sus canciones. Es como una buena amiga que siempre estara ahi para abrazarte con su musica.

Compralo, cierra los ojos, relajate y dejate llevar por la magia unica e indescribible de esta mujer.

Laura Pausini is one of the best singers I have ever heard. This CD shows her great talent and how beautiful she can sing. I like each and every track but my ultimate favorites are Meta de Mi Viaje, Jenny, Si No Me Quieres Hoy, and of course Entre Tu y Mil Mares. I recommend anything else by her and to purchase her new album ESCUCHA ATENTO and Hélène Segara and Laura's collaboration "On n'oublie jamais rien, on vit avec."

Entre tú y mil mares es un disco para disfrutarlo, es fresco y maduro al mismo tiempo. Hay canciones maravillosas, como entre tú y mil mares, somos hoy, quiero decirte que te amo, la meta de mi viaje, y un largo etcétera, de las 14 canciones hay 12 que me encantan; además todas tienen un aire especial por el que se sabe que pertenecen a este disco y no a otro, lo que le da al trabajo unidad y armonía. Lleno de sentimientos hermosos, con una Laura cada día más mágica por su sencillez y la belleza de su voz. ¡No os lo perdáis, merece la pena!

I first happened upon Laura Pausini while living in Costa Rica, and listening to my favorite radio station, "Besame". I remember asking my Costa Rican Co-workers who was singing that song on the Radio. That's Laura Pausini, and ever since then, she has been my favorite Artist. I have all her CD's in Spanish ( even though my Spanish is so/so) and her latest one in English, which is great also. Question Laura, when will you release your next CD? Cuando tiempo por nuevo CD? Quando il tempo per il nuovo CD?

Lets be short and to the point, this girl doesn't know how to put out crap, this is another beautiful album. Get it now.

An excellent and very talented singer born in Italy that has exceeded in the last few years, each time coming out with even better songs than her latest CD, that have matured and evolved along with her voice. I have to say her songs are charged with positive energy and lots of real emotions that can be felt when you listen to her voice. Very talented and professional. I was fortunate enough to see her Live Concert 2001 World Tour in person and it was just extraordinary.

This CD and the new one she just released in October, Lo Mejor de...Volvere Junto a Ti 2001, (The Best of...Laura Pausini) or in Italian, has many of her greatest songs and hits and is definitely one for the collection. Best CD I have ever bought, this one and Lo Mejor de... Laura Pausini. Great for all ages.

Laura won the in the new artist category at the Festival of San Remo in 1993, at the age of 18.

We hadn't seen a new album in two years, I was beginning to get worried. Laura is very popular in South America but she just doesn't seem to have taken off in the U.S. I think she will be doing an English album next. In the meantime, check out her fan website, it's one of the better ones out there. This Spanish version of this CD is very good, although I prefer the Italian. My favorite? "Un error de los grandes"--the sentiment rings true.
