5.0 out of 5 stars Great for anyone wanting to start a VA business, February 23, 2009

This review is from: Entrepreneurial Freedom: How to Start and Grow a Profitable Virtual Assistance Practice (Paperback)
I like this book for several reasons, each chapter is fairly short and to the point. There are many details on planning out your business, such as start up costs you can expect (bare bones vs. wish list), branding your company, finding clients, growing your business, etc...The thing that I like most about this book is that at the end of each chapter there are links and resources listed on the subject of that chapter. I have found this extremely helpful in doing research for starting up my business.

In the back of the book there are several sample documents listed for you to use for your business that are very helpful. Including, work for hire agreement, client retainer agreement, editorial retainer agreement, confidentially agreement, subcontractor agreement, non-solicitation agreement, and there is even a sample business plan that is short and sweet, which is a great starting point.

I highly recommend this book to anyone starting a VA business. You can't beat the price at $19.95.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book for any new VA, August 3, 2007
This review is from: Entrepreneurial Freedom: How to Start and Grow a Profitable Virtual Assistance Practice (Paperback)
I've been a virtual assistant for a while but when I learned of this book I purchased it. Wow, was I glad I did. The information in here is invaluable. In fact, I've had to repurchase the book a couple of times because I keep giving it away. (I think I've purchased three copies so far.) I HIGHLY recommend this book to any new or veteran VA or small business owner. The book gives you so much information. Lauren and Jeannine really did their homework here. Some books are borrowers, this one is a definite purchase. You'll refer back to this book often. They also offer an workbook to go with it -- great purchase as well. [...].

This is my first book on starting a virtual assistant business, and I bought it at the recommendation of other reviewers. Very good book so far; haven't read it all, but I would recommend it for your first book on this subject.
