Review

Can a person be rich, successful, and Christian? Why do successful businesspeople tend to leave the church? Why doesn't the church understand those in business? Entrepreneurs In The Faith Community interacts with such questions by telling and analyzing true stories of Christians in business. Christian entrepreneurs Bill Dyck, Levi Giesbrecht, Merle Good, Phyllis Pellman Good, Kurt Janz, Frieda Marie Kaufman, Abe Kroeker, Jay Lehman, Emanuel E. Mullet, Jacob Redekop, Alta Schrock, and Jacob A. Shenk are profiled. The stories of these business men and women provide valuable insights into sources of tension between business people and other church people hint at solutions. Entrepreneurs In The Faith Community offers candid, yet inspiring accounts of efforts to reconcile God-given urges to achieve and Christian ethical teachings. Entrepreneurs In The Faith Community is an unusual and quite effective addition to any personal or pastoral bookshelf. -- Midwest Book Review
