Everything you'll need to know to pass
I had not been in the field of respiratory care for more than 12 years. So I needed a very comprehensive guide. This book covered everything I needed for the test. It gives many exam hints throughout, and the questions at the end of each chapter are very helpful. The two practice tests on the CD were also very good, but I'd suggest you also take the free online...

I think it really depends on your study style. For me, I like the CD, and I didn't read the book. I passed my exam on the first try.

I had not been in the field of respiratory care for more than 12 years. So I needed a very comprehensive guide. This book covered everything I needed for the test. It gives many exam hints throughout, and the questions at the end of each chapter are very helpful. The two practice tests on the CD were also very good, but I'd suggest you also take the free online practice test offered by the NBRC. Anyway, if you put the time to study this guide cover to cover, there should be no reason for you NOT to pass. On my first try, I acheived a score of 88% after intently studying ONLY this guide. WARNING - DON'T BUY ANY CHEAPER PROGRAMS FOUND ONLINE!!!
