I bought this model 10 years ago and have used it pretty much 24/7 all that time (time off for vacations). In January, I bought a replacement HEPA filter and a bunch of prefilters. This meant that the motor was bound to die in July and it did. I looked at newer models but found that I could get this older style about the same price (and I had $110 in parts here at home for the future) so I went with it. It is running nicely, has a five year warranty and the filters I have will last that out. When it does die, I will get a newer model which tells me when to change the filters but right now I will keep on with what worked well for ten years.
