As the description says: "Compact, durable and user-friendly"... that about sums it up. I can't really imagine paying the same amount for basically a plastic (or wooden) box that requires extra work to keep things stirred up. Just fill it and spin it, if it loaded itself it would be perfect! The "tea" catcher is also a big perk in my book.
About the only thing I would like would be to have it a little bigger (not everyone would need that though...)

We like this very convenient composter. It keeps rodents, skunks and snakes from access to the compost and is easy to use. The preparation of compost takes a bit longer than advertised (8-10 weeks is about right).

I own two of these units (I alternate while I'm waiting for a load to finish). I am quite happy with them and would purchase another. I like the spinning function, but as the bin gets full it can be very difficult to spin. Once the compost starts to break down, it gets even heavier. The finger ridges are hard to grip. Be careful when placing it that the unit is sitting on level ground so that the drum doesn't come off the base when you spin it. It would be difficult to relocate once loaded. That being said, I had never composted before and I was able to use it to process all of my vegetable and fruit scraps without any problem. I have not had any problems with unwanted pests getting into it.

Nice and compact

Couldn't be easier.

Envirocycle Composter
The unit is compact and ideal for smaller gardens. When full, it does get a little hard to turn but I guess that is to be expected due to being 1/2 full of moist compost matter. Read more
