This review is from: Environmental Crime (Paperback)
Environmental Crime: Enforcement, Policy, and Social Responsiblity is a pretty good overview of environmental issues. It would be good to read if you want to get the big picture on environmental issues. It covers philosophy, natural science, law, etc. I read it as a text for a college course. This was a small class and we had much discusion on the material. The book was well suited for such a class. Each chapter is by a different author and because of this it repeats itself a little. Much of the environmental crime data and examples given are from the early 1990's. Environmental crime has changed a lot from the early 1990's so the book was a little out of date even when printed in 1998. As a history and a basis for understanding it is great. |
