More About the Author

Ishwar K. Puri serves as Professor of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech where he also directs the Multiphysics Research Group. Puri is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. His alma mater, St. Xavier's School, Delhi, honored him with the Xaverian Excellence Award for his outstanding achievements, pioneering spirit, leadership and public service. Puri is the author of nearly 300 publications in combustion, transport phenomena, and mathematical biology.
