The two reviewers who gave poor ratings were rating the seller and not the book itself. This is an excellent text that teaches students how to use simple math, dimensional analysis and critical thinking to analyze modern environmental issues. If you're looking to teach an Environmental Issues course, I highly recommend this text as a guide as it forces students/readers to be more participatory and to THINK, instead of just being fed information that they will eventually forget.

This book is great for someone who is going to college to finish their degree. It's easy to read and has everything you need to recall in a few sentences. This book gets right to the point.

Bought this book used and of course expected the usual wear-and-tear, but got more than I bargained for. The 'Issues' text was missing large sections of pages torn out by the previous owner and had most of the review questions already answered and scribbled throughout the book. Not the best deal going, especially when I was relying on ALL of the book to arrive for full class participation!

The previous owner cut/reap over 60 pages or lessons from that book..At the end it is worthless. I still have to go and make copy.
