Divided into three main sections, the guide begins with an overview of building projects that have used environmentally sensitive planning in their designs and shows the goals, strategies, and construction procedures employed by builders and architects. Application reports supply information such as the energy used, worker health, and the like, to compare the advantages of using materials such as drywall vs. plaster. Finally, more detailed data on the environmental impact of the manufacturing process for each building material is given.
