Worked great for an ammolite repair, January 31, 2012

I used this to repair an ammolite, which is opalized fossil of an animal that's similar to a nautilus. The opalization occurs on the shell, which is very thin. I had cracked a beautiful ammolite while setting it, and I was heartbroken, and figured I'd have to recut it and start over with a new setting. But a friend recommended this and told me how to get the best result (prewarm the stone) and it worked beautifully. You can't even tell there was any damage to the stone at all. It's very clear and very glossy, allowing all the fire and colors of the opalization come through.
