These are the best reusable bags that I own, and I have many. They are pricey but I have actually been using them. I have a trunk full of bags that I always forget until I'm checking out. I keep them in my purse so I haven't been caught needing to use any plastic ones. They hold quite a bit more than the plastic bags so I never run short. I'm not sure why the other reviewer is having trouble refolding these, fold in half, fold in thirds then roll up. I hope Amazon gets more of these in stock, I have several friends and family that want them.

I originally bought one on these bags in Colorado this summer and found them to be terrific. They fold up into a little roll that easily fits into your pocket or purse. I keep a couple of them in my purse and they hold twice as much as any grocery store plastic bag. No more getting into the checkout line and remembering that you left your bags in the trunk of the car. They are a bit expensive, but the quality is worth it. Great gift idea for the person who has everything (and wants to save the environment, a little bit at a time.

I am very happy with my purchase of this set of bags. They fold up easily into a small pouch which will fit into most purses. They are mid-size so can hold quite a lot, more than an average plastic bag. Also, they are very strong so I think they will last a long time. I searched far and wide for this kind of bag, and I think these are the most attractive and reasonably-priced.

As others have said, these are indeed awesome bags. I did, however, await these with some trepidation, as how worked up can one possibly get about BAGS? How wrong I was. First, they fold up into such a small package that it's easy to keep all five bags in your glove compartment. Second, though the bags are not heavy in the slightest, they are VERY sturdy, suffering many tins of tomatoes and a large bag of potatoes with ease. They are also VERY comfortable to hold, especially in comparison to plastic bags which really dig into your hands.

Overall, these bags are HIGHLY recommended. They live permanently in MY glove compartment now.

We used to live in Europe, where you either paid for your bags at a dime apiece or you had to bring your own. We had a collection of cotton bags that hung on the back of the kitchen doorknob. They were bulky.

This set is very streamlined--the size of a medium-sized trade paperback. Inside, you'll find five commodious nylon sacks rolled up, larger in capacity than the evil white plastic bags from the store. (The State Bird of Delaware--we see them perching in the trees everywhere and in all the fields. Sigh.)

The bags have a nice print on them and are stylish but the real value is more than ONE in a sack that you can toss into your purse or cram into a coat pocket. You will be more likely to bring your own bags if you have this set.

One downside: I think the price is a bit steep for these. I'd have expected to pay half of this price.

I got mine 2 months ago and love them. The 5 pouch set is good since I can rotate them to retain easy-folding lines. I do admit that it's much easier to fold it on a large enough flat surface. These are much more durable than those cheap bags with the plastic bottom inserts (inserts that won't fit in your pocket), Envirosax DO! The handles appeared to be too long at first glance, until I noticed that I could just wear it like a purse on my shoulder (if not too heavily loaded). It is also kind to the touch; feels like umbrella material or nylon coat lining I guess.

I got some stares while checking out at a chain store a few days ago. I whipped it out as the cashier was about to ring me up and she looked impressed. Those who have asked me about it think that it's too expensive. $38.00 for 5 pouches may be costly, but when I think of all the plastic bags I've not used (by actually having this one on me) makes it more worthwhile. I always forgot the cheap ones, I never forget these! Attractive, unique (for now) and not making advertisements for some other store, excellent choice!

This by far has been my best purchase this year...I use them every where and every time I'm shopping, even out of town. They are so very durable, perfect shoulder bag to carry many full bags at one time, compact enough to travel, and I'm never short of bags while running all my errands. I've received nothing but positive compliments and many of them, I must add! I totally recommend them 10 fold, look at all the color choices and if you need a place to start to become more environmentally conscious, start with this purchase and say no more to plastic.

Feel good helping out environmentally while still looking chic... I have many canvas reusable grocery bags but always left them at home or in the car. I keep these in my purse and always have them handy... They are very durable. Went to the bookstore and bought a bunch of books and the bag held up just fine. I always get comments from others at the checkout and ask where I got these. I now give them out as teacher gifts. I don't know what the one reviewer is talking about in terms of difficulty in folding back up. Just fold them in thirds and roll up and snap the umbrella like snaps. Takes me less than 10 seconds. I highly recommend!

These are very convenient--easy to carry and use--and quite attractive.
I usually keep a couple in my handbag and plan to keep one or two in my suitcase. They are durable in appearance. I haven't had them long so I can't tell you how long lasting they are exactly but they are made of a strong washable material and are well stitched so I expect they will last some time. They hold a lot, too.
