Product Description

The Enzotech MOS-C1 MOSFET Heatsinks were designed to offer exceptional heat dissipation for integrated MOSFET motherboards and video cards. The heatsinks are made using a forged copper process which produces a dense material that is extremely efficient at heat dissipation. The Enzotech MOS-C1 sinks are far superior to traditional heat sinks currently found on the market and provide the best thermal conductivity available. Caution: The following situation can result in the heatsink falling off the MOSFET: MOSFET surface was not properly cleaned prior to affixing heatsink. Thermal tapes cannot be reused. If the MOSFET heatsink must be removed, do not use the same thermal tape to re-attach it. Both surfaces must be completely cleaned and a new thermal interface tape must be applied. When cleaning mating surface, be sure to follow directions supplied with cleaning product to insure safety for yourself and others Do not swallow and keep contents away from children.

I purchased these to cool mosfets on my motherboard. It's a nice mobo and one capable of overclocking, but they mushed the mosfets into weird places and they were getting too warm for my liking. Naturally, they weren't all in a row for me to be able to put one big heat sink, so I used these.

They attached just fine with the included thermal tape and you get extra for the eventually mess-up. They are a good height too overall for most electronic applications. They look awesome. As someone pointed out, I used a flat head screw driver to install these. It guides them in the small areas well, and after you set it on, you can push it down a bit extra to make sure it sticks.

They cooled my parts, I didn't run exacting tests before/after, but my mosfet area as reported by the mobo would shoot up to almost 70c before and now they're sitting in the mid 50c range, which is better, but not great. I'll need to work on that later with better case cooling.

My only beef is the price. I typically try not to factor this into a review as much as possible, but one this item I have to. Enzotech has clearly got a racket going on here - I can purchase a 5' copper pipe that has a significantly larger amount of copper than these. I get copper is expensive, but these are very rudimentary heat sinks and aren't some marvel of engineering to require what I'd say is about a 100% premium for their true cost.

They are exactly what they say they are. They came to me in retail packaging and included pre-cut heat transfer adhesive. They installed very easily.

- Purchased 10/2012 from the egg - Owned 6 months so far.

--- Pros ---
* Runs cool.
* Fixed my issue.

--- Cons ---
* None

--- Thoughts ---
* Got it with Arctic Silver ASTA-7G glue.
* Used to fix disaster of aftermarket heatsink for my 560 TI. Parts didn't fit so these saved the day.

--- TIPS ---
* For me it was video card heatsinks, if you go that route I recommend good glue.

These are EXACTLY the right size to put on a Pololu A4988 stepper motor driver as are commonly used in 3D printing. They fit better and work better than the cheap aluminum heatsinks that Pololu provides for the purpose. With these in place I can get a little more current through the driver and my 3D printer has the required oomph.
