I was severely anemic for years, and with the help of my doctor I tried EVERY prescription iron out there! They all made me sick to my stomach or caused me severe intestinal pain!!! I finally started looking to herbal iron, etc. I tried several things that just didn't work, until I found this iron pill! It never made me sick, I could take it and feel fine!! And best of all--- 6 months later my doctor tested my blood again -- and I don't have anemia anymore!!! I'm amazed!!! Love this product!!!

I am anemic, and I tried many different kinds of iron, prescription and over-the-counter. They all made me sick to my stomach. I had given up on ever finding one that worked, then I found Ultimate Iron at a health foods store. It doesn't make me sick at all. My stomach can handle a pretty high dose of this iron without getting nauseated or constipated. It took about a month on this iron, but I eventually started feeling more energy and less anemic. I take it every day! I've since recommended this iron to one other woman who was having the same problems, and it worked great for her too. This pill also contains vitamin C that helps the iron to be absorbed better.

I have been taking this for a week. I was recently diagnosed as anemic. Within 5 days I noticed higher and more consistent energy levels. If I take two pills first thing in the morning without food my stomach does get a little sour - but only slightly. I have not experienced any other complications.

When my Dr. told me I was low on iron, she gave me a prescription for iron ,when I started taking the
pills I found that they were very constipating, and was telling my daughter-in-law about the prescription that my Dr. ordered for me, she then told me about the iron which she was taking, and suggested that I should try Enzymatic Therapy Ultimate Iron 90 Softgels and she gave me 10 pills to try, and I did try them, they worked so good, I started feeling better, and NO constiipation and I have been taking one pill a day now for 4 years. On my next appointment with my physcian I brought the prescription bottle of pills with me and told what my daughter-in-law told me and told her that the bottle of prescription pills that she prescribed for me to take, she could give them to someone else, when my Dr. read about the iron pills my daughter-in-law gave me,the Dr. said there is a lot of great thing in these iron pills and to continue to take them and like I said I have been taken them now for at least 4 years. I Love this product !!! It's so natural You can't get any better !! My energy level went from ZERO to more then a 100 ! I feel like a different person . My blood test showed iron levels fine , but I just didn't feel healthy and I was exhausted by mid day . Now I keep going and going !!! I love my energy level and my family as well .Try it and You won't be disappointed.

Every Enzymatic Therapy product I have tried has been very satisfactory.
I bought this for my athlete daughter and she takes only one rather than two softgels daily, which is enough for the minimum RDA but way better than other products because it is absorbed very easily.

Each softgel is about 5/8ths of an inch long

Does Ultimate Iron® cause constipation?

While constipation is a common side effect of non-heme iron supplements, the heme iron in Ultimate Iron® has less of a constipating effect. If you do experience constipation, simple dietary changes may help alleviate the problem. Slowly increase the fiber in your diet by including whole grain breads, cereals, fruits, and vegetables. Drink at least 8 cups of fluids daily and get some moderate exercise (as recommended by your physician) such as walking or bike riding.

Can Ultimate Iron® and a calcium supplement be taken at the same time?

Research has shown that calcium can interfere with the absorption of iron. Therefore, we recommend taking Ultimate Iron® and the calcium supplement at different times of the day, at least two hours apart.

I've struggled with anemia for years and tried many different supplements. This is the only thing that has ever worked. I felt better within weeks, it did not upset my stomach or make me nauseated or cause other GI issues and it contains cofactors like vitamin C and B-12 which help with absorption. I think the fact that this contains heme iron is the main reason why it works for those of us who have never gotten results with all the other non-heme iron containing supplements. Non-heme iron is difficult to absorb, so if you know or suspect that you may have absorption issues due to leaky gut, bowel resection, Chron's, celiac disease, etc, non-heme iron is probably not going to cut it for you.
