3.0 out of 5 stars This is not a book May 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
There are, so far, anyway, 13 Samsara Chronicles. Each one is around 140 KB, not quite a short story, not quite a novella. Definitely not a book. Which is fine, except the material, which could be 1 or 2 books is strung out over 13 pieces which means, if you actually want to read a book length item about the Samsara Chronicles at $2.99 per 140 KB you're looking at around 39 dollars for one long book or two short books. It's a good gimmick. I read the first one and a little of the second one. The writing is decent, what one would expect if the author paid attention in school. The grammar is good.
It is not a book or even two books worth $39.

I am giving it three stars because the writing is decent and one sees a lot of really bad writing on the kindle. That does not mean the story is good, in that there is no story. The woman has sex a few dozen times and has a baby. Yes, there are indications that there is a plot but the plot (which takes apparently $39 to resolve) is basically there, as far as I can tell, to have a reason for the characters to have sex. Don't get me wrong, the sex is not so explicit it would be x-rated, but there's a lot of it.

*********************************Spoiler************************

The first book takes 140 KB to get a woman pregnant with a few pages at the end for delivering of the baby. That's pretty much it.

5.0 out of 5 stars We are being watched and protected December 20, 2012

The Antiquitas, the ancient ones, have announced to Seanna, that her unborn child will be important to the well being of the future. Once the girl is born the author advances us 26 years to the future. The earth has turned violent, earthquakes and new volcanoes appearing. This may be Ann ongoing short story but this is a great beginning.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looking forward to where the series goes. July 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I understand the process of what Diana and Gabriella are trying to do by breaking up the series into segments. However with a short 37 page story (3 chapters) I wonder if they could have put some of the segments together more. This is a personal choice of course as I just don't like having to switch from one book to the other so often.

However, as far as the story goes it is very intriguing. And also it was able for me to relate being in the same position as Seanne on the inability to conceive problem with no real reason why. 2 Chapters are about Seanne and Blake and then the last chapter sets up for you to go into book 2/segment 2.

There are 2 possibly 3 if you break it up that way sex scenes. Nothing in huge detail but enough to know what is going on. All of which happens at the beginning of the book.

Book 1 is mostly back story so don't expect a lot of action. However you need the backstory to understand the rest of things is how I see it. I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the beginning of a great series. May 28, 2012

I really liked this novella and contrary to another review, it is not all about sex. There are several innuendos, that can leave your imagination running if you have one, but there are only 2 sex scenes. They are written tastefully and they help with the story. This book tells the story of the child who is supposed to help save humanity and how she came to be born. It reaches out and grabs your attention. I read this novella in a couple of hours and have started the second in the series. This one is about under 13 k in length and Nadir (book 2)is under 22 k.They make for quick read and keep your attention the whole time. I can't wait to read the rest, they are so worth it.
