Great 3D software at a great price
Some people I've talked to say they love Bryce and others say it's not all great. For my opinion and experience with Bryce 5.5 it is one of the coolest software 3D programs around. As of last year, DAZ 3D, the company which develops the Bryce software, has offered Bryce 5.5 online as a free download. There is no need to buy the software unless you are particularly interested in having the CD/retail box, or if you want the newer version (Bryce 6.1 as of this posting, which should be purchased directly from DAZ's website). As of last year, DAZ 3D, the company which develops the Bryce software, has offered Bryce 5.5 online as a free download. There is no need to buy the software unless you are particularly interested in having the CD/retail box, or if you want the newer version (Bryce 6.1 as of this posting, which should be purchased directly from DAZ's website). This item is not even the newest version.
If you would like to download Bryce 5.5, search for it on Cnet's download.com At any rate, it's great software for the beginner 3D artist, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to make quick and simple 3D models.

Some people I've talked to say they love Bryce and others say it's not all great. For my opinion and experience with Bryce 5.5 it is one of the coolest software 3D programs around. There are many galleries on the web dedicated to Bryce. Like any othet 3D program, if you really know how to use it you can turn out some really realistic scenery. Bryce has the capabilities to import other 3D model formats like 3DS, DXF, poser, etc. You can even add textures, maps to customize your look of objects. The animation feature can be used with ease and can be quickly rendered to get great short film clips. I highly recommend it.
