There were lots of basic very short tutorials that would be useful and interesting to total novices. I only found one or two cameo appearances of very experienced teachers. The 3rd and 4th season have much longer tutorials.

I like the topics and the techniques they are trying to share...
Here are the problems I have:
1. The guests do not properly explain what they are doing. I find myself eagerly anticipating the technique, then saying "what the heck just happened?"
2. The camera does not do a good job showing important details of what is being demonstrated. Take some cues from "Sewing With Nancy". If there is an important stitch, fold, etc., take the time to show the important stitch, fold, etc. Otherwise what is the point of having a show?
Once again, I like the topics and desperately want this show to live up to it's potential. There is definitely good stuff here - it just needs some major improvements. This is only season 1 so hopefully there will be improvements with more shows.

I learn something new every show. I don't always like the projects but the techniques are shown simply and clearly. I have found simpler ways to things I have been doing the hard way for years. some presenters are better than others but seem to improve as season progressed.
My daughter is a newer sewer and sent me to this show. Her garment construction is wonderful thanks to this show. I usually quilt or do handmade gift items.

I thou rightly enjoy watching the sewing/quilting/embroidery shows and wish there were more of them, regardless of the skill levels. There is always something new to learn.
