EPWill's latest disc is one of his best...EP runs the gamut from old-style folk throw-downs to haunting, melodious ballads, each song an absolute gem. This skilled singer/songwriter, honored as an Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year, has somehow captured the energy of one of his live shows and crafted an album that you'll listen to again & again, picking new favorites each time. EP is a stellar example of Kimbrough's songwriting and guitar playing talents, and it's just plain fun to listen to...pick up a copy today and see why Will fans consider his music a pure gift.

The first reason to buy the new Will Kimbrough CD is that it is a Will Kimbrough CD. If you're familiar with the multi-talented lyricist, instrumentalist, producer and performer that's all you'll need to know. For anyone unfamiliar with Will this CD will serve as an easy way to get acquainted with Kimbrough's music. There's not an off note on this disc. The songs are spare and perfect for a night at home or a trip on a long stretch of road between where you've been and where you're going. In short, wherever you are-there's a song for you on this disc. Once you've heard Will Kimbrough you'll want to hear more. Check out any of his CDs, you won't be disappointed.

A Top Ten CD,

Will Kimbrough's EP is a top 10 CD for 2007. The songs on EP are stripped down, melodic and beautiful. David Henry's cello playing offers a perfect compliment to several of the tunes. There's not a bad song on this 8 track disc. Looking for a Christmas gift for a music loving person?...you can't go wrong with EP.

Whatever problem James Lockett had with his order, it seems to be fixed now; I rec'vd my copy of EP with no issues. The most telling thing about this small group of 8 songs is that every review cites a different list of favorites. For me it's Godsend, Interstate and Hill Country Girl that make me feel like taking every song I've ever written to the shredder and starting over again. This is sweet, sad, spare acoustic folk at its most sublime, along with a few upbeat numbers. Will K is Good. Damn Good. If you like acoustic music, folk, roots, or anything like it, add WK to your library and your list of people to see. I'm not sure but I suspect this album is something of an exception and that most of his stuff is electric; he can obviously stand on either side of the fence with perfect skill.

"Sweet as cheap red wine",

Modern themes and a contemporary outlook woven into songs by one of today's best American folk rockers obviously raised on traditional country music. Is that a scatter shot enough description of Will Kimbrough? This award winning musician whose guitar work has driven the bands backing Todd Snider and Rodney Crowell shows he himself has matured into a singer songwriter in the truest sense. Kimbrough's newest offering is as beautifully simple as it's title, "EP". "I'm not tryin' to reinvent the wheel just trying to tell you how I feel" is one of the opening lyrics of the song "Half a Man" and it provides an insight to Kimbrough and his songwriting style. "EP" displays well crafted songs that are not built around a hook or gimmick but a mood, a moment, or a basic message of love. Sweet and simple to the point lyrics mesh with the welll arranged and layered instrumental work to create a satisfying seven song album that leaves you wanting more each time you listen to it.

EP is the latest offering from americana extraordinarie Will Kimbrough. The songs are a collection of styles from straight folk, bluegrass, to eastern-style raga. Personal favorites are Interstate, Love is the Solution, Eden Praire. The guitar work is great, lyrics amazing, and Will K. is in fine vocal form. A must have for any americana fans....

Having several Will titles but having never gotten enough of his music at several shows I say: If you like any Will album you'll love this. "Horseshoe Lake" is the heart stopper for me. So visual, so giving in its insight, and so very well played. Don't own any Will, start here. Buy an extra for somebody that matters to you. David in Portland, TN

Has anyone noticed that the entry has been hacked? I don't know which CD you get when you order from Amazon, but used vendors like ImportCDs are sending this CD out. Until Amazon fixes the entry, I would suggest ording this from Will Kimbrough's site.
