5.0 out of 5 stars Episode 7 doesn't disappoint! June 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I've been fanatical about this series, devouring each installment as it's released, most in one sitting. Episode 7 was worth the wait. Without giving too much away, the Aurora crew has all sorts of neat new tools at their disposal to help fulfill their mission. There are some new characters weaved in that create intrigue as the story moves along. Also, you get long awaited background on the digital plague that's fascinating and really brings things together.

Now, I'll have to wait for #8. In my search for other books to help pass the time, I just found an awesome one with lots of futuristic intrigue and apocalyptic adventure called Cryonic: A Zombie Novel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Back on Track July 8, 2013
By Greg
Format:Kindle Edition
I thought Episode 6 bogged down with administrivia: too much detail about unimportant matters. Episode 7 showed great improvement in eliminating some of this fluff. Yes, some was still there, but it didn't interfere with the story line.

The action sequences were fairly well portrayed but perhaps a bit abbreviated. The character interaction was, for the most part, good.

So, my faith in the Saga has been restored. Awaiting the next novel.

Hopefully we will find out much more about the Jung.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow! but June 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I looked forward to this installment and finished it in three days; very fast for me.
The expanse, what would they find on their journey home, was an intriguing question kept alive through the previous episodes. The author built on his strong point, deepening the back story of how this world he created came to be. He opened new possibilities for future stories. There could have been more but the scenarios presented were well thought out and setup one's interest in the next books.
Some of the action scenes went a bit unbelievable. Too much like in the first three episodes. The ending was somewhat a question because, could that all have happened when they were gone with no signs left? Then the very end put me off a bit.
The strength of these stories are the world created, the author knows history, and military action in fighting against all odds.
Bottom line I enjoyed this book and the previous books. If I were better off I would buy the next episode but have to wait nearly a month to get it free via Amazon Prime; the author probably gets more money that way anyway.
Good job!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep em coming August 4, 2013

Another great read in a great series. I really loved the ending. Finally, (in the next book) we get to see the Aurora kick butt against the original bad guys in this series, those nasty Jung bully boys.

4.0 out of 5 stars Previous 6 were better August 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Another book in the series but after the conclusion of book 6, 7 had a lot to live up to and although good, was a bit of a let down. I'd still recommend it as (hopefully) 8 will return to the level of the first 6 and I certainly don't want to get left behind!

2.0 out of 5 stars This author doesn't know when to quit August 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
That's it. I'm done with this series. It started with real promise and kept my interest through the first six books. But by then I had begun to suspect the unfortunate truth - that there would never be a real end to the story. This volume proves that I was right. It could have been well presented in just a couple of chapters, rather than being drawn out into a full-length book that is fundamentally boring. And at the end, we just find more questions awaiting us, no resolution. (I can't say more without spoiling things for other readers.) Too bad... I did enjoy the story for quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Calm before the storm June 9, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Once again Ryk has provided a great story in the continuing saga of our favorite crew. I thought this was going to be just a slow portion of the series; however, alot more detail was given to help solidify relationships and understand the capabilities of the Aurora as we move forward. As with all the books in the series, there is enough action to keep you going and wondering what will happen next. Thank you for the enjoyable reading!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars put simply, this writer gets to the point, ...
put simply, this writer gets to the point , does not " over write" as do a lot of SCiFi writers tend to to do in my opinion.
