I bought this release when it first was made available on the band's website. The songs themselves are very good - modern British rock music with the expected mature classic influences that you'd expect from the son of one of the greatest guitarists of the classic rock era.

The songs do shine - led by Lord, Lord. The songs are surprisingly well built and mature sounding for a young band. Dhani Harrison has worked with many great names in the business, and his experience and lineage shines through.

This record only gets 4 stars our of 5, however, due to its brevity. Even as an EP, you wonder why there's only four songs -- at the time of its release, there were at least two other songs featured on the band website -- including the video for Choose What You're Watching, perhaps the best the band has to offer and would've been the highlight of this set.

It's been some time since this release, as well, with no word from the band. With the quality of the songs here and on the website, it'd be a shame if a full length never materializes.

Catchy tunes, brilliant production and truly talented collaborators on this first release from thenewno2, led by Dhani Harrison and drummer Oliver Hecks. No surprise that Dhani's musical sensibilities are top notch, being the son of the great George Harrison, but his style is far different. The tunes are moody and colorful, from bluesy and probably autobiographical ("Lord Lord:" 'My father's gone and left us, Lord')to reckless abandon ("Say"), and most importantly, the songs are catchy and memorable. It's great to have something to look forward to in today's scene and thenewno2 is it!!

I think this is their first attempt and I found this a nice blend of real music (using real drums) and nice extra textures.
The band blends electronics with a nice foundation. I think the vocals are good, but sometimes the background singers are stronger than the lead vocal. I like the Revolver Beatles backwards guitar work. Sort of like Moby. I think if the band goes and tries different styles on one album they won't box themselves into just the Techno world. Love to have the band explore more styles.
I will listen to the other albums and hope that they keep as a band playing together live. I hope they expand it with different instruments.
