Finished the book late last night. I have been reflecting on it all day. I have three major thoughts:
1) This book is a blessing to all who are seeking God's grace in their lives. Kurt's approach is realistic, from the heart and is easy to relate to everyday life. I cannot wait to give this book to people who need this message as they seek direction.

2) For "seasoned" Christians, the stories contained within are a much needed reminder of grace and how it applies to our lives in real and meaningful ways.

3) I am blessed that this book found its way into my life. Although I have been a Christian for a long time, my focus wains from God's grace and the significant role that it must play in my every moment. Be those moments good, bad or ugly, God's gift through Jesus is constant.

I gave this book a five star rating because I think it can benefit everyone. You won't be beat over the head with religion. Just the opposite, Kurt does an excellent job of sharing how his imperfect life is a living example of what God's grace can do!

I remember hearing Kurt speak at my church years ago, and he admitted to beginning many of his prayers with, "Oh Lord, I'm an idiot...." His words stuck with me, as I too, am oftentimes a moron. (I've adopted his prayer on more than a few occasions.) So when I found out he'd written a book detailing his journey as a "recovering idiot," I knew I had to read it. True to Kurt's genuine nature, his book is real and relatable. But it goes beyond simply describing his journey; it gives hope and guidance to those on a similar path. (And, frankly, who of us isn't?) If you struggle with guilt, shame, insecurity or just garden-variety doubt, this book is a must-read for you. There is hope, healing and grace available through Christ-- and Kurt is a believable ambassador of this message.

Epic Grace is an amazing down to earth read in lamens terms to the people of America. This isn't a book for "churched" people; Kurt wrote this book with all in mind. Whether you are "churched" or completely against religion Bubna will strike a chorde with you. He speaks freely from his life regarding nearly every topic that every American has lived through. Shame/Regret/Idiocracy/Forgiveness are all covered in a wonderful description of God's Epic Grace that has been given freely to all who seek.

Buy for yourself, and then buy more as gifts. Please note that 90% of all of Kurts proceeds from this book have been promised to be given to the church. Don't feel like you are lining the pockets of a writer looking for an easy buck, but rather you are reading a book that will change your perspective, if you let it.

Kurt shows that there is a beautiful truth called Grace that will cover the ugliest of lies and messes we can ever dream up in our journey here on Earth. If you have ever felt too far gone, this book speaks the healing heart of Christ for us about how much further He's willing to go to meet us where we're at. Kurt speaks with love, humility and humor. You never get a sense that he is better than anyone, and yet he humbly expresses how forgiven and able to be used by God he is by God's grace. It made me believe in a level of Grace that I have only read about. A level of grace that is truly epic.

I was given this book, by Kurt, and wasn't sure I would read it. Well, God had other plans, once I opened the book up, I couldn't put it down. As I read on, come to find out, my Pastor, that I listen to every week, is just like all the rest of us, a regular guy, with all the trials & tribulations,(that we all have) but with a heart for Our God, and he always came back to the Lord. I would recommend this book, and intend on buying a couple for gifts. Thank you, Pastor Kurt for sharing your journey!

Kurt Bubna has written a gift in the book Epic Grace. I read it in two sittings. It was one of those books where you lay in bed and tell yourself, "Okay. ONE MORE CHAPTER before I turn out the lights!" It's that good! I just didn't want to put it down. Pastor Kurt tells stories from his life that you can instantly relate to your own life. He is honest, humble, and wise. I have already put this book on my "Christmas gift" list for friends and family. I encourage you to do the same. You will be inspired, and your awareness of the immensity of God's love and grace in your life will be brought into sharp focus. Thank you, Kurt.

Every now and then, a book comes along that resonates with the plight of every human being. We all struggle with past failures and stupid decisions, but God's Epic Grace is greater than all of them. Kurt's stories helped me to remember that even in my darkest hour God's Grace was there. If your past is holding you hostage or you feel like your future is bleak, dive into Epic Grace. I am confident that this book will help you discover the grace of God in your story.

Transparent; Pertinent; Compelling; Emotional; Uplifting; Concise. And, if you want a good crying/laughing cycle while reading a book, give this one a try. Kurt Bubna has captured in his book a sense of what God wants to do in all our lives. "Epic Grace" is for everyone. Excerpts from one man's life that lends credence to the line from a song by Neil Diamond "except for the names and a few other changes, the story's the same one". You will enjoy the read!!!
