The Epic Journey {Barack Obama},
By Tiffany Davies (Minnesota) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Epic Journey... Barack Obama (Paperback)
This book is extremely thought-provoking: Ms. Hollis portrayal of current culture trends serves as a pertinent reminder that America despite its marvelous feats is yet being conquered by fear of one word (RACE). In addition the writing magnifies the inability of many to commit to personal growth - to engage the process of change and work toward a more perfect union from a nonpartisan perspective. Also, the book highlights the racial discord among African Americans not being able to grasp their role in this era to take ownership of their fate.
I find the challenge she puts forth speaks to the essentialness of our wellbeing - we must find solutions to age old difficulties and eliminate the notions of racial superiority or inferiority. Tiffany Davies, Account Executive Solutions Data, Inc. |
