Works when used properly,
This review is from: Epicare Facial Hair Remover (Health and Beauty)
I own one of these, and If used as directed (which is actually very easy), Epicare effectively removes unwanted hair from upper lip, cheeks, and chin. It is obvious that hair removal from root is the most effective, but associated with sensitivity, no matter what method is used. I also like that the greatest benefit of Epicare is that it does not damage your skin like all other traditional hair-removal methods. And it is definitely less painful than waxing. It gently pulls out facial hair from root and keeps your skin safe. I've tried many facial hair removal methods, but so far this is the most effective one and I'm sticking to it!

Great but cause pimple and bumps,

Hi,This is perhaps my first review for any product i have purchased online. This product is great and it works perfectly. Yes it is painful as it is kind of manual epilaptor which pull out facial hair right from the root. I was so happy to get this one and wanted to give gift to my friends as well BUT in 2-3 days i started getting pimples near cheek bones and end of cheeks skin near the ear where you have maximum facial hair.. God i am still struggling to stop those white heads pimple bumps which started after using epicare. Probably my skin is getting irritated however i do not have such sensitive skin i have used peels, sulphur mask what not .. i am too scared to use it again but really want to use it as this is best solution i can think off..So if it is not causing anything like what i had then its worth it... Anyone has any idea how prevent bumbs/pimples after using epicare then do let me know..

i have been threading all my life but this product is amazing. It basically uses the same idea as that of threading but does it in a very convenient way. I am simply in love with it. I am using acne medication so i cant wax (my skin has become very sensitive and comes off with wax) I wont say it is painless but it is definitely better than other hair removing options. You must experience this...its worth your money.

I recently purchased the epicare facial hair removal tool from Amazon.I wish I had saved my money. It HURTS on the tiny hairs above my lip. It just rolls over the hairs on my cheeks and chin and doesn't remove many of them. Tweezers work much better. I thought I was going to get something that would remove the hair quickly and with minimal pain. Wrong. It doesn't work well, and it hurts to remove the few hairs it does remove. Save your money!

This little bugger sure does work. The first time I used it, I thought this really hurts. The second time was easier. I find if you keep up with the hairs it is not so painful. I hated tweezing, waxing got to be very costly. This is an alternative to both that works. I would buy this again.

UPDATE: No, I just can't handle the pain anymore! I've switched to a neat little groomer that removes the hair at the surface (no pulling, etc). The pain of using this, plus the fact that I already have tendonitis from computer and artwork, made the effort of twirling the dang spring very tiresome. At one point I think I had an ingrown hair on my cheek from it. Anyway, due to the pain (literal and ease-of-use pain) I found myself using it less and less. Groomer works great for me, extremely quick and pain free!-------------------------------- I have been using the epicare device for over 3 hairless weeks. At first I did a tiny patch, about 1 sq. inch, and had no bad reaction, so completed the job over the next few days. I found it easy to learn, the hardest part being continuing all over my face while it hurts so bad!! I was shocked - didn't know if I should cry or get angry, especially on the very sensitive spots (upper lip, near eye). Afterward I gently splash my face with tepid water, then very gently apply witch hazel, then make sure not to touch my face for at least an hour. I love the epicare and can't see going back to peach fuzz as long as I have the choice. Everyone looks younger and more attractive with a hairless face - that's just the society with live in. I am a 40+, caucasian women with sensitive skin and mild rosacea. I think regular all-over facial waxing will make my redness increase, plus I can't afford it (time- or money-wise). I can't believe that threading would hurt any less, and I've seen those threading ladies make pass after pass after pass over someone's cheeks - ouch!

Takes a little practice. You also need a tweezers as a back up, because it misses hairs.

It takes a bit to get used to how to do it but once you get the hang of it it takes all the hair off... yes it can sting a bit the first time but its not agony....similar to plucking eyebrows...especially effective on area above lip...no more woman mustache!

I am really glad I bought this gadget- it works exactly as pictured, you bend it into a u-shape and rotate the ends which tightens the coils around hair and gently pulls them out. The sensation is similar to tweezing but in my opinion, less painful.. maybe because my hairs are finer on the upper lip. For me though, this makes some hairs difficult to grab, but it just takes some practice, like pressing your tongue against the other side so you get the skin taut.

Interesting concept. It works, but the hair has to be a bit longerthan most any woman I KNOW would want it to be. Plus it has to be dry. Its not real user friendly, you have to really roll it as you hold onto each end moving it slowly over the area you are wanting to remove hair. The 'grips' at the end irritate the skin on my fingers as its too rough. Its an 'ok' item but nothing I would purchase again or suggest to someone to buy...as tweezers and 10 minutes do the same job. PLUS its a bear to clean. |
