About the Author
Wendy holds an MFA in poetry from Hunter College, and her awards include an Academy of American Poets Prize and the 2003 Amy Award. Her poems have appeared in Runes, Sojourner, 5AM, Main Street Rag, Red River Review, and Big City Lit. She has taught poetry at Makor (an affiliate of the 92nd Street Y), and currently teaches expository writing at Hunter College. Wendy Wisners EPICENTER was the runner-up for the 2003 CustomWords Poetry Prize and was a finalist for the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize, the Word Works Washington Prize, and the Main Street Rag Book Award.
