I bought this cutting board for carving large roasts (prime ribs), turkeys, and hams. I did not get a chance to use it until Thanksgiving but it did not disappoint. Put the roast or other dish right on it straight out of the oven to rest, and catch every bit of that juice.

There is only one drawback -- be sure to use it on a level surface or you may experience an overflow of juices on the low side of the board.

These boards are knife friendly, and help keep a good edge on your knife. This board is certainly heavy enough not to slide around on you while you apply leverage. In short, this is a perfect board (assuming you have a place to store it) for almost anyone who cooks large meats, fish, or poultry for large gatherings.

My only complaint and the reason I deduct one star, is that there is no simple way to drain the juice groove into a saucepan for making a wonderful gravy. While it can be done, it is awkward that there is not some type of "plug" to facilitate preserving the juices, especially given the weight of this monster.

Very good quality. I like that it is nonporous. Great customer care - I emailed the manufacturer a question and got a response within 24 hours.
