The book is very well written. Clean examples are given. The authors do a great job of avoiding complex and confusing examples. The book made epidemiology more interesting and much easier to understand than it could have been. Charts, graphs, and tables help clear up differences between similar concepts and provide examples of concepts.

This was a purchase that I made in order to participate in a master's level epidemiology course. It was perfectly complex for those interested in, but not yet involved in the health fields. Not too complicated and jargon filled, not too simplified. It provided a well rounded background for the subject matter with many background/historical reports for further elucidation of this field. It also included a wide variety of graphs, lists, information sources, etc. that are of use to those in the public heath field.

Friis and Sellers's epidemiology book is a good one for beginers and for reveiwing basic stuffs for everybody. It is full of examples which make this book very friendly and easy to understand.

i bougth this product for my epidemiolody class. i was supose to buy the 4 edition. instead i bougth the 3 edition. in class i realise that contents in botrh books are the same. no differrence except the edition. lol. i strongly recommand this book to student enrolled in public health

This text is useful for epi study. Example studies are provided. Answers are only provided for some end of chapter questions. Medium size paperback textbook size allows for easy transfer to and from class.

Great basic resource for beginning epidemiologists. Good use of examples, thorough explanations of skills used in the field of epidemiology.

This text is useful for patient education and primary healthcare practitioners. I received the book before the expected date. Book arrived clean and pages are intact. It is a "used book" but it looks like new!Thank you! This book is very informative about diseases and there are health promotion topics to educate the community about how they can manage their health better with more awareness of making plans to resolve issues related to disease prevention and health promotion within their community.

It has been helpful explaining concepts discussed in class. Very easy to read, but academically sound.
