Couldn't be happier!,

This review is from: Epiphone AJ-500M Masterbilt Advanced Jumbo Guitar, Natural Satin (Electronics)
Recently traded in a 4 month old Epiphone Chet Atkins model for this guitar. Also have a Martin D-16RGTE Premium and this guitar sounds better! Our band plays bluegrass about 2 times a week at local pubs, etc. It gets lots of use and sounds great using a condensor microphone. Also gets a lot of looks due to the "old-timey" look. This guitar has a great feel, almost familiar. Great case included! The only issue is the hygrometer always reads "70". If that worked,I would rate it at 5 1/2!

This guitar has a beautiful sound. When I received it, I had to loosen the truss rod to make it stop buzzing, but after that, it's been playing great. I've been using it with a capo too, and that's fine. It stays in tune nice with the strings that came on it (once they stretched out). The finish is all matte, so don't expect and gloss. I actually prefer this, so I was pleased. Hardware is really nice.

Great guitar for the money and then some....,
This review is from: Epiphone AJ-500M Masterbilt Advanced Jumbo Guitar, Natural Satin (Electronics)
Got an Epiphone AJ-500M about a month ago, and cant put it down. It plays and sounds so good. I love the slope shoulder body, its so much more comfortable to me then a full dred shape. This guitar ooozes tone and playability. Its all solid wood construction, top sides and back, and for the price, its a steal. You just cant find all solid wood guitars these days of this quality and price. Is the Epi Masterbilt better then a Gibson, well, probably not but it darn near close. I have both Gibsons and Epiphone Masterbilts, and like the all. The Masterbilts are special. I play mine out all the time. I put an LR Baggs Element, and it sounds devine. Get one, you wil not be dissapointed.
