I have owned the Alpine White Epiphone Les Paul Custom for two years.Previously, I have owned two American standard Fender Stratocasters (both were professionally set up) and niether one of them played as well or sounded better than this Epiphone Les Paul. If you are lucky enough to buy one of these beauties, do yourself a favor and have a luthier set it up. The neck is straight, the body is solid, and the tone is good. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5, is that in my opinion the pick-ups and tone could be slightly better. But then again, if you really need that, get a Gibson. I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar. It is solid.

Having owned and played more guitars through the years than I care to admit, because we sadly sometimes sell them off, this is one of the best guitars (stock) that I've ever played. It's a beautiful piece of musical equipment to look it, tunes and stays in tune flawlessly. It's as close to perfect as it gets.Years ago, and I'll be honest, not many folks played Epiphones, they were considered cheap kockoffs compared to their more expensive counterparts -- Gibson. Through time though, I see more and more bands playing these guitars. From nightclubs to U2 and David Bowie ... this is a fantastic and well manufactured piece of equipment. I have two of these now, the oldest one being five years old and I love them both equally.

This was my sixth guitar and now it is going to be my all-time favorite for the rest of my life. The sound is totally insane! I would recommend this guitar for anybody. Anybody who owns this guitar is going to be real happy with the results.

Let me start out by saying that I like this guitar very much and I believe it was a decent deal for the price. But watch out for the cheaper versions (you know, the Epi LP Customs that sell for $500 brand new with a hard case). I bought one of these, and although I believe it is a genuine Epiphone Custom, it is just a little fishy. It shipped direct from China. The paint on the top has very slightly bled over the binding as if not properly masked, and the nut slot is not filled properly. There are other small blemishes in the finish which lead me to believe that this is some sort of b-stock or possibly remanufactured by an unauthorized shop (authorized shops will prominently mark reman's and alter the SN). Serial number indicates it was made December 2009, I bought it in early 2011. I inspected the electronics and the pots are mismatched, plus is has a slight hum. Wasn't set up at all, and needs some general TLC to set things right. On the bright side, once set up it plays very well. The pickups, while very bright for this guitar, sound surprisingly good. With a new nut and new pots, switch, & output jack this thing will sound amazing. I have owned and played Epi Customs before, and they are amazing guitars for the money. But if you buy one of the super cheap ones, don't say I didn't warn you!

This is definitely the best, better than a real fender strat, and the white looks amazing.

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom is one of the most amazing guitars I have ever seen. This Les Paul integrates the sound of Gibson with the affordability of Epiphone. I bought my Epiphone Les Paul Custom used, but it still had a clear, beautiful sound. I highly recommend this guitar for guitar players of any genre. You won't be disappointed!
