Stop Reading and Buy This Guitar,
This review is from: Epiphone LP-100 Les Paul Electric Guitar, Vintage Sunburst (Electronics)
Let me start off by saying, I have been playing for 4-5 years, self taught, and I consider myself an intermediate-advanced player. I play blues, metal, classic rock, as well as hard rock (Black Stone Cherry, etc.) I own a very beginner amp because I am so intelligent that I spent all my money on the guitars and very little on an amp- probably going to get a Line 6 or something.I bought this guitar for the same price at Ken Stanton Music (great service, by the way). I could not be more pleased. I believe that the Greek Muses dropped this guitar from the heavens, and placed it in that store for me to pick up and play. It shreds like a monster, yet croons beautifully- try playing Santana on this puppy. You'll be needing tissues. It works with all styles. Also, don't worry about damaging this thing. I whacked it real hard on accident and was afraid to look. Not a scratch. So let's go through the pro's and cons: Pros: Plays like a dream Durable Versatile Beautiful Cons: It's awful hard to fit a wedding ring on her. Wait, are you still reading? Well, stop it. And buy this axe.

This is my son's 2nd guitar, moving up from a basic model I got him a year ago. He chose this model because he wanted a Les Paul model. As soon as it arrived he was really impressed with its sound and quality. The product finish looks and feels of very high quality. We think this is a great choice for beginners. Recommend it 100%.

I purchased this guitar for my husband. He is self-taught on an acoustic guitar and wanted to try out an electric model. This has been the best gift ever. He has improved his playing and really enjoys what the guitar has to offer. The sound is great, it looks like a more expensive model than it is. I would highly recommend this guitar.

Great Paul,
This review is from: Epiphone LP-100 Les Paul Electric Guitar, Vintage Sunburst (Electronics)
I got this guitar when I was 12 and I still have. When I played, it sounded like a real les paul. I'm glad that the guitar came with amp because I didn't have the money to buy one if it didn't come with one. I would recommand this guitar if you don't have an electric one.

My husband has an acoustic, and has had for years. He's always wanted to try electric. He did pick this guitar off of Amazon's site, so he did get what he wanted and LOVE'S IT!

If you are looking for a guitar with great sound, great finish, Les Paul model and cannot afford the Gibson one, this is the one you need to buy. I also own a Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker, and can't tell which is better.

I will let you know up front that I'm a newbie at playing a guitar, so take this rating for what it's worth. I bought this guitar to play Rocksmith and it seems to work great for that purpose. The craftsmanship seems to be first rate, but the guitar is a little on the heavy side as far as I'm concerned. It has a made in Malaysia sticker on it. I suppose that is why it is so low priced. It looks great and I love to play it.

Great guitar, better than the kit Les Pauls,

The kit guitars that you can find for around $150-170 that include an amp, bag, stand, strap, picks, etc etc don't have the shiny finish that all Les Pauls should have. This one does, and is one of the reasons I'm glad I didn't buy a starter kit. I've had it for a couple weeks, and it sounds great out of the box (with some tuning, since they detuned for shipping). It did NOT come with an amp, despite what others said. Maybe it was just my order, or maybe the ones with amps are kits, and thus didn't have the nice finish. But I can definitely say this wasn't a kit, and it didn't come with anything but a cord. And for anyone who wants to pick up guitar, I suggest you get a strap and stand asap, because it's a hassle and an annoyance to keep a guitar in a cardboard box.
