Epiphone PR-4E Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Epiphone's newest baby is the PR-4E Acoustic-Electric Guitar and it is a real workhorse acoustic/electric for the stage and in the studio. This ideal size and shape guitar is constructed with Mahogany body and Select Spruce top, Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard and Chrome hardware. Cutaway Style
Some ask why a guitar in the cutaway style. The answer is simple: better access to the frets. A single cutaway allows the fingers to move past the neck-body join. In an acoustic guitar, cutaways can change the sound quality of the guitar. In an electric guitar, it makes no difference if it is a single cutaway or a double cutaway. It all comes down to style and fingering preference.

Studio-10 Acoustic Amp
This is a small 10-Watt solid-state practice amp made by Epiphone. Its controls include volume, gain, treble, mid, bass and a boost switch. The controls are excellent for an amp this size. This versatile amp is excellent for the beginner and can take a more experienced player a long way. It is ideal as a practice amp. It does not sacrifice sound while it protects your fuses.

Has a 10-Watt amp (Shown in black).

Epiphone is one of American's oldest and most revered instrument makers and since 1873, Epiphone has made instruments for every style of popular music. The name evokes both history and the spirit of invention. Epiphone has been an audible presence in every great musical era from the mandolin craze of the early 1900s to jazz age guitars of the 1920s. From swing-era archtops through post-war pop, jazz, R&B, and early rock n' roll. From the "British Invasion" to heavy metal, punk, grunge, and thrash. And now, in the 21st century, new Epiphone technical breakthroughs such as the ProBucker pickup, series parallel switching, built-in KillSwitch pots, the Shadow NanoFlex and NanoMag pickup systems, and premier acoustic/electric guitars with the eSonic preamp have brought the historic name to a new generation.

This beginner's set was purchased for my nephew in the US. The contents of the package (guitar, amp, tuner, CD) and the price were the primary reasons why I chose this package.
Delivery time was top-notch, but the guitar made a buzzing noise all along the neck, no matter how it was tuned. This is a set-up issue: the guitar had not been inspected before shipment to ensure that the distance between the frets and the strings was as it ought to be.
To their credit, the seller responded very positively to our complaint. They offered an apology, a $25 refund, free set up at a local (US) music store, and a new set of strings.
From last accounts, my nephew is making great progress on the instrument and is very pleased with the sound.

I spent weeks looking at accoustic electric guitar packages and determined this was a good value compared to the others. I was first impressed that Epiphone is a Gibson company, one of the giants of the industry. Having been a musician for many years I have grown to trust Gibson as a quality producer of good guitars. After the box arrived I pulled the guitar out and began to tune it with the tuner that is included. I spent the next two weeks practicing single note runs and holding cords when I decided to put the tuner on again and only one string out of tune after about 20 hours of play. As anyone who has learned the instrument can attest beginners are VERY hard on guitars and they are hard to keep tuned. The sound is quality for the price. The most notable problem I have seen with the competition is that strings buzz. I have not has this problem, even having tried to get that to happen. The construction is just as good. A complaint against the competition has been that you can see dried glue around the neck and body. Mine is pristine, not a spot of glue. You will never mistake this for a hand made Martin but I WOULD CONSIDER THIS TOP OF THE LINE IN IT'S CATEGORY.

I bought this guitar package for my 9 year old grandson for Christmas. I got it out, tuned it and played. The strings are very good. No tinny sound or buzzing. It has such a sweet sound. The amp is sooooo awsome!! We only had to put the volume to "1". It really cranks. I know my grandson will be amazed at this guitar and I am sure it will last for many many years.
I'm thinking of purchasing another of these Epiphone packs for myself.

I saw a few reports on this product, which were all quite positive. I then decided to order it without checking the sound at any shop, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise.
The sound is great, the finishing is quite impressive. It sounds and looks like a very expensive quitar, actually.
My guitar teacher was extremely impressed as well.
And I was also very happy to get everything in one package: guitar, a great amplifier, all cables etc.
I highly recommend it.

I really love this guitar. It's really beautiful and has a nice cutaway :D. It has a nice sound and the amp works perfectly and is simple to use.
It even came with strings which really made this purchase above and beyond for me! The tuner works really well and the case is nice too. The only things that bother me is if you are playing to close to the amp (at least for me) it gives off an annoying feedback. Also, when I pluck the stings as an open note and play it acoustically, it makes a vibrating sound within the guitar somewhere; I haven't figured out where it's coming from. It's not really a big deal at all but I tend to be really perfectionist so it just bothers me haha.
