I have had numerous copies of this over the years and they keep getting stolen. I think that says quite a bit about the awesomeness of this series.

I love this series.
I remember staying up late on school nights to watch oddities and drinking massive amounts of jolt cola.. if this doesn't sound familiar then unfortunately this might be a bit dated of or just a bit strange for the likes of ye unfortunates who didn't do this.. if you read the comics however you still may very well be in luck if your seeking some serious enjoyment.

Picture a super hero large brutal with claws stick him in a city full of crime put him up against a serial killer magician then make him a possibly schizophrenic bum who may or may not just be imagining all of this. For flavor add a free lance social worker who dresses like a stripper..
Its a strange little story but massively enjoyable if you tend to like this sort of thing.

I first saw this show on MTV's short lived series Oddities, back when MTV was a station worth watching. I really enjoyed seeing this story again, I had forgotten how intelligently written it was, and so much more "grown up" than most of the stuff on MTV, and still so entertaining. The plot can be a little muddy (like a shakespearian play) but if you stick with it, you'll get a very cathartic reward in the end. I was happy to get the entire episodes, and believe me it was well worth the price! I'm Very happy with this Amazon purchase, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great, adult, intellectual story.

If you love the Maxx comic book series, or have never even heard of it, pick this show up. The Maxx is a hero unlike any other, in that he's a total loser. He's homeless, he's crazy, and he gets his butt kicked a lot, but he has unbreakable claws and heart of gold. And his arch enemy Mr. Gone is one of the weirdest and worst kinds of villain, raping and mutilating women, as well as being somewhat immortal. I love the comic book series, and this show is true to it (except where copyright laws would have been broken concerning other comics). The only down side to this series is that it ended due to cancellation and never got to reach the amazing ending of the books.

The Maxx is an amazing story with some deep characters and artwork/animation that transport you into the world of the Maxx. In this collection you will get the entire series in SD, I know SD sucks but it isn't in HD anywhere, so what can you do. The picture quality leaves you wanting a little more but the story makes you stop caring about that after the first 5 mins. Also when you purchased thru Amazon you get access to their streaming version of it so you could be watching The Maxx tonight!

This is a show my husband and I used to watch when we were younger. My husband has always loved the artwork in it. I think it reminds me a little of Spawn. We loved that we could watch it right after buying it.

This requires paying attention. The stroy line is DEEP. Worth a watch. The art is great, and the voice work matches very well. Big thumbs ups.

The one and only Sam Kieth' out of this world, comic character come to life in this fantastic rendition of the Image comics graphic novels. If you enjoy Sam Kieths work, this would be a 'must see'item.
