Pretty good stuff. J.O. is, as usual, very funny. Insightful material makes for enjoyable show. Not embarrassing ,as some comedians seem to think it is funny to just get raunchy. Some of the greatest comics ever rarely used blue material. Why can't up-and-coming stand-ups learn from them?

John Oliver is a comedic genius! I love the way he perceives the world. And what a gift he has of translating that perception into finely crafted words with hilarious delivery!

A better comedy show. His own monologues are fantastic. He evidently hand-picks his performers. This is where to see the precious Maria Bamford several times.

I watch a lot of standup, always have. I understand that for the most part humor is a matter of taste, but for what I like this show is very entertaining. John Oliver opens each episode with his own monologue, and he is always hilarious. There's a bit of repetition in the lineup of comics, but the ones that come back are still very funny. A lot of diversity in styles, too. It's not just a bunch of shticky, amateurs telling small-talk jokes like a lot of comedy shows have. Nearly all the comics feel unique and genuine and seasoned.

I thoroughly enjoy this show. I've actually gone back to watch all of season 1 again with my girlfriend, because I watched it without her the first time. Still funny the second time around. :)

John Oliver is hilarious. I could watch him introduce the show and be happy to stop there. But no, he goes further by inviting actual funny comedians as guests. Usually with stand-up shows, there are occasionally comics you've heard of and then a lot of hit and miss newbies. Oliver manages to put together consistently funny shows with comedians that make me laugh out loud. Great show.

I think John Oliver is hysterical. I don't know if it his British outlook on things but he really makes me laugh. Some of the comedians on the shows are good, some, not so much. Nonetheless, it is an entertaining show.
