Book Description

The new international Greek Testament commentary October 1982
The New International Greek Textual Commentary is a sophisticated phrase-by-phrase commentary on the 1973 UBS Greek New Testament. Bruces volume on Galatians explores historical, critical, and linguistic exegesis, but is primarily theological. Thus, he emphasizes Pauls insistence on justification by faith only, and the Spirit as the principle of new life in Christ. While Bruce quotes the Greek text extensively, the running text accompanying the commentary is the NIV.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent work by F.F. Bruce, June 19, 2007
This review is from: Epistle to the Galatians Hb (The new international Greek Testament commentary) (Hardcover)
Excellent commentary. Clear writing. The overall theme and the details are both well expounded throughout. The only small drawback is the occasions when Greek words or phrases are used without definitions, but that should not stop someone from buying this book. Bruce is an excellent author.

FF Bruce is one of the most gifted Greek scholars I have ever read. He comes from the perspective of inherency of the scripture and is complete with the studies that are brought forth in this commentary. A great resource for Greek scholars.
