The goal is to find prophecies and their matching fulfillments for six famous Prophets. When a match is made it scores a point for the player who made the prophecy. The first player to make three prophecies is the winner! Throughout the course of the game, Trials and Tribulations stir up trouble. Angels and Guardians may be able to help protect your Prophets from time to time, and Divine Interventions can help you as well.Ages 8 and Up - 2 to 4 Players
From the product picture, you might get the impression that this is a larger item than it is. It is not a board game in a box. This is a deck of cards, and the picture shows the title card, which is the top card in the deck (but is not one of the cards used in the game). Otherwise, it's a great game that teaches players to learn more about Bible prophecy. It's an intelligent game, and the artwork is outstanding. The customer service at this company is top-quality. I needed a replacement card for another one of their games, and they sent it quickly at no cost to me. The 5-star rating is for their customer service as well as their product.
My whole family loves this game. It's fun to play and you can learn some of the prophesies of the Old Testament that were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. There's enough chance/luck in the game that adults can play against children (9 year old) and not automatically win, but there is also a lot of strategy going on so adults will not be bored playing against each other.
The only negative of the game is that it takes some time to learn and the first time you play when you have to read all the details of all the cards can be really slow.
My big complaint is that the instructions are really poor. There are a lot of circumstances that simply aren't covered in the instructions. My family just made some executive decisions as we played out first game and agreed to stick by all the decisions we made. So I guess we are playing by house rules but we tend to make the game harder than it needs to be.
With better instructions, this game would be one of my favorites!
