1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money!
Complete waste of time and money. Will not read any contacts from my AT&T sim's. Does read a FEW (about 10%) of the text messages stored on the sim. Does not see the rest. Uploaded the text messages that it could see to my PC, then re-installed the sim in the phone. Deleted the texts that I had uploaded thinking that maybe the reader would now be able to see other texts...

1.0 out of 5 stars doesn't read sim card info, July 13, 2010

The only thing it reads off the sim card is your contacts. I could read texts that i had much less deleted ones. The software wouldn't install properly. You have to use windows explorer and boot the program manually since it won't by itself. It is also really wide so if your usb ports are side-by-side you can only use the one this thing is plugged into. As a simcard reader it sucks, as for its other features i don't know because I just wanted it to read sim cards.

I'm satisfied enough to order one for our daughter's use!

3.0 out of 5 stars Epraizer Card Reader, March 27, 2010

It works, but I'm not impressed. Construction seems fairly sturdy, and the microsd slot has a spring locking mechanism, which is nice. The included sim card software works fairly well when installed. However, when the reader is plugged in, it takes a few moments to be recognized, even after 10 or 20 times (SD cards are recognized a bit faster than microsd.) In addition, the SD card slot is a tight fit, so you have to work the card in and out with some effort (to give an idea of the fit, the label on one of my SD cards has been partally ripped off by this reader.) Overall, even though this works and has an attractive finish, I would not recommend it to someone looking to buy a composite card reader; there are better options on the market at comparable prices.

EDIT: After six months, the microsd slot can no longer accomodate a card; the spring locking mechanism has failed (no abuse or falls prior to this). I'll certainly be looking for a better brand to replace it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't do all it claims, December 27, 2011

The card reader reads most everything just fine through they claimed it could read deleted text messages as well and really all it can do is read that there was a message deleted but not what the actual message was,

1.0 out of 5 stars does not read any data, November 22, 2010

You're wasting money on this one. It was unable to read any of the sim cards I tried to get information from. I have tried 3 different sim cards from 3 different countries i.e. itim from Italy, AT&T from the US and smart sim card from the Philippines. It didn't do anything.

1.0 out of 5 stars CAN'T GET THIS TO WORK WITH MAC!, September 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Epraizer Universal Flash & SIM Card Reader/Writer, USB 2.0 (Personal Computers)
I bought this SPECIFICALLY because other reviewers AND the product description said that this will read SIM Cards onto a MAC...I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK! I tried emailing the manufacturer, but they don't respond & are in China so I can't call them. I was on the phone with the "cyberguys" who sold me the product, they tried to help but claimed that my computer must be missing something to make the software executable--so then I was on the phone with Apple for another 1/2 hour, trying to figure out what's "missing" from my system, but the real issue isn't that I'm missing something, but that the software/driver for the thing is for WINDOWS, not for MAC! If ANYONE out there knows how to get this freaking thing to work on a MAC to read a SIM card, I will worship you endlessly!! Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy for travel w/digital camera and computer, July 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Epraizer Universal Flash & SIM Card Reader/Writer, USB 2.0 (Personal Computers)
From the mishaps of others, we've learned to travel with digital cameras and a laptop computer. The Epraizer Universal Flash & SIM Card Reader/Writer (USB 2.0) makes this a lot easier since it eliminated the need to include a connector cord and the like.

On our last European river cruise trip, on the last day (of 16) a fellow traveller made the mistake of showing friends his accumulated pictures using the camera view frame... and in the process accidently erased the card. He had seen me downloading pictures from my camera to the iBook each evening using an Epraizer, and asked if I would help -- others had offered to let him copy their pictures if he could find a way to do so. (He did have a spare blank card.) So I copied the pictures from two camera cards to my iBook, and then put them (plus mine) on his blank card so he'd have some record of the trip.
