After years of needling, I finally got my old man to go for a DLP projector. He got this and it's great. Out of the box, onto a white stucco wall in less than five minutes. We also picked up a "Black" screen... and this is incredible. Even in the middle of the day with the sun streaming in, very little loss.

Great clarity, BluRays look great as does everything all the way down to .avi files... and this is with it projecting at 110 inches.

It's pricey, but seems to be the one to beat nowadays.
