4.0 out of 5 stars Epson 750Z : COOL, CRISP RAZOR-SHARP DIGITAL STILLS
Nice ergonomic design, buttons and placement of buttons are well thought out. Charged the batteries as described in the manual and took three weeks worth of pictures before I re-charged the second time. I took the 750Z up to the Las Vegas "strip" and shot in both normal and Hy-Pict mode: The images were very sharp, flash needed to be adjusted down for close...

1.0 out of 5 stars Product is good but repair is terrible
I have an Epson Digital 3000Z camera. The camera was great until it developed a red laser like line across all pictures and displays. I tried to get serviced thru Epson. They DO NOT DEAL with end users, you must take to an "Authorized Epson Repair Center". There are three here in Atlanta, and none do repair. All they do is receive, package and ship to Epson for...

Nice ergonomic design, buttons and placement of buttons are well thought out. Charged the batteries as described in the manual and took three weeks worth of pictures before I re-charged the second time. I took the 750Z up to the Las Vegas "strip" and shot in both normal and Hy-Pict mode: The images were very sharp, flash needed to be adjusted down for close shots of less than 12 feet. Hy-Pict images of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris were magnificent.Depth of veiw was within focus, and I am quite pleased with this cameras ability to define colors at night. This camera never leaves my side. Menu selection is a breeze once you learn the symbols. Shot Black and White at Red rock canyon, again razor-sharp images. I like this camera. All in all the only minus I found was in having to adjust flash and white balance, but once that was accomplished I never looked back...only forward! If your looking for a good digital still camera this one rivals cameras in the 1000.00 dollar plus range.

5.0 out of 5 stars Picture quality is outstanding, March 21, 2000

You can find more features and bigger pixel counts on other cameras, but the quality of the images produced by the 750z is as good as any digital camara I've seen, and I've seen a lot. The color is right on and the crispness of the images is incredible. The camera comes with rechargable batteries and a recharger which are enough to power your camera for quite some time. This is a great camera at a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the right digital camera, April 26, 2000

This review is from: Epson PhotoPC 750Z 1.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom (Electronics)
Just got the Epson 750Z after handling about 30 cameras and reading endless reviews. I read the review in FamilyPC mag last month and looked at the bulky Epson 850Z but the 750Z is the way to go. Quality is outstanding, features are easy and it's not a monster size camera like a Sony Mavica. This camera has some nice features like the rechargable batteries and the software is extremely easy to set-up and use. I would recommend this camera for anyone wanting to entering the digital age of photography.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Wait, June 8, 2000

This digital camera is one of the best out on the market. There are many features on this camera but the one that struck me was its quick shot feature. This feature lets you take another picture within 3 seconds of the last picture taken. This camera is good for people in the beginner thru advanced-intermediate range.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, July 3, 2000
This review is from: Epson PhotoPC 750Z 1.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom (Electronics)
I purchased this camera one month ago, & It has already paid for itself (vs 35mm development)I've taken it to weddings, parties, outings, etc. and everyone has to take a look & try it. The LCD preview screen is large & the image is good enough to know if the picture is worth keeping or not, no more surprises! It takes excellent pictures of very high detail, nice B&W & unbelieveable color photos. This camera has surprised me with its ease of use and great quality. Epson also gives you a really nice carrying case, NiMh Batts& a recharger (which last for @ 3 weeks w/ me). I purchased a couple more 8meg flash memory cards pretty cheap (in zshops)& more batts at radio shack. I'm good for @ 300 pics in one outing now (pretty cool) Oh yea, Hooking it up to the computer is a snap (i have win98) & it downloads the photos at an amazing speed. Great product, great for me. I love it & my whole family uses it & loves it.

This is the first camara I bought as personal, because I had been buying some camaras for my company including SONY HDF 95, and when I did get started, I felt the quality of photos and is very close to camaras of $1000. Nice ergonomic design, buttons and placement of buttons are well thought out. You can find more features and bigger pixel counts on other cameras, but the quality of the images produced by the 750z is as good as any digital camara I've seen.

4.0 out of 5 stars great camera, nice features and accessories, June 24, 2000
This review is from: Epson PhotoPC 750Z 1.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom (Electronics)
i received this camera as a gift and i couldn't be more pleased. the camera has zoom and digital zoom features and a nifty solar panel to help conserve the rechargeable batteries that come with. also included is a nice soft case that has ample room for everything you might want to take with you on an expedition. i have an epson printer and this camera plugs directly into it -- you can print photos without bothering with your computer. of course, since i have photoshop, i have been having a lot of fun turning photos of my dogs, garden, and friends into cd covers, stickers, and inserting photos into letters and email. next step -- my own web site! highly recommended camera outfit.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1st Time Digital Camera User Loves It!, June 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Epson PhotoPC 750Z 1.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom (Electronics)
Once the batteries were charged ... there was no stopping! This camera is very easy to use. In a short time, I was taking beautiful pictures indoors/outdoors, with/without a flash. The software that came with the camera took minutes to load on my computer, and transferring pictures from my camera to computer is a snap! So far (I have only had the camera 2 days), the only feature that really needs improving is the lens cover. An automatic lens cover would be much more convenient than the soft, manual on/off, lens cover that comes with the camera. For under $400, there are more quality features than can be imagined. I have yet to explore the full funcationality of the Epson PhotoPc 750z and related software, but what I have seen so far is WOW!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera, February 3, 2003

I have used this camera for about 3 years now. It takes excellent pictures and is simple to use. It comes with rechargeable batteries, however the charge last for quite a while. I have printed all of the pictures that I have taken, mostly on EPSON paper. With the software, you can "stitch" the picturs together to make beautiful Panoramic prints. The only thing that I found that the software cannot do is to take out the "red eye", but once downloaded, a picture can be opened on other programs to take out the "red eye".

There is a flat [high monetary] repair fee - camera could have been run over by a truck, or missing a screw [high monetary repair fee]!!!! Plus the Authorized Epson Repair Center charges an addtional [monetary fee] to pack and ship. How do you get to be an Authorized Epson Repair Center?
Suggestion - if you buy a digital camera, please check out how they repair and where... Would not buy another Epson!!!!
