Readers may want to experience the best seats out of the house and set up a backyard theater. There are inflatable and portable screens on the market to project onto, but even the wall of the garage can work!
Enjoy a much more immersive experience when videogames are super-sized. Connect a Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3 videogame console and play larger-than-life videogames. And remember the old carousel slide projector and family viewing of vacation slides? For an updated version of this, use an SD card or flash/thumb drive to run a looping slideshow of digital JPEG photos. Use the USB port to connect the flash/thumb drive. Project videos and play songs from your favorite playlists on your Apple iPod™. You may also view images from an HD cable or satellite TV receiver, HD DVR or HD camcorder using the HDMI video connection. OK Projector - Card Reader Firmware Full of Bugs,

This projector is fine if it were about $100 cheaper. They are charging an extra $100 or so because it supposedly can read memory cards or thumb drives and display JPG images without a computer.
Great idea. Unfortunately, the firmware that reads the cards or thumb drives is very primitive and full of bugs. The default mode in Photoshop for outputting JPGs will not read on this projector! It will only read raw JPGs straight from a camera that have not been edited at all! Not very useful as far as I am concerned. I spent a lot of time with Epson tech support and they confirmed the problem. Amazon refused to support us in trying to return it. However, the seller did give us a refund of $70 which softened the pain. If we knew it did not really work as advertised, we would have probably selected a different projector. As it is, it does work OK, but it needs a computer just like every other projector.

I ordered this item from Electronics Expo. They were so good the first time around I ordered my surround system from them as well. The projector is great for home theaters. Good quality, plenty of inputs, even a small speaker, which helped when I didn't have the sound system. Overall good product for the cost. I am not a videophile, but it great for my uses.

I have purchased two of these. They work as expected.
I was slightly alarmed that part of the projector is nested inside the front panel.
