With advanced USB connectivity, exclusively from Epson, you get no-hassle, USB Plug ‘n Play instant setup on your Windows PC. No more pressing complicated computer function key sequences to display an image via a VGA cable, though you still have the option to do so. But, with USB Plug ‘n Play, you just plug in a standard USB cable and begin your presentation. Instantly view your images on both the screen and PC, simultaneously. And, with the Epson PowerLite Presenter, you get an additional USB (Type A) connection for USB thumb drives, enabling you to display JPEG-formatted photo slideshows, with audio files, via a USB thumb drive — no computer needed!

Quick, convenient control
The Epson PowerLite Presenter offers a host of user-friendly features for quick, convenient control. With Instant Off®/On, there’s no warmup or cool down time required. Use the A/V Mute Slide, or Sleep Mode, to instantly pause the presentation so the audience can focus their attention on the presenter, as opposed to what’s being projected. If the slide is closed for a set period of time, the projector goes into Sleep Mode, which can be set to activate at any time between 1 and 30 minutes. This convenient feature is not only energy efficient, it contributes to a lower overall cost of ownership.

3LCD 3LCD technology — for quality and color that’s beyond amazing

3LCD technology delivers amazing color and detail. Whether it’s big-screen entertainment or a boardroom presentation, 3LCD technology takes video performance to the next level. Delivering legendary image quality, this innovative technology always ensures powerful visual presentations.

  • 3 chips in every projector for true-to-life color — With its 3-chip design, 3LCD delivers clear and vibrant images that are so true to life, you may not believe your eyes.
  • Road-tested reliability — 3LCD technology has been the world’s leading projection technology for 20 years and has consistently been the choice for users who demand long-life performance and reliability.
  • Energy-efficient light engine — The 3LCD light engine efficiently uses available lamp light to create stunning images. In contrast to 1-chip DLP technology, 3LCD requires 25% less electricity per lumen of brightness.**

WXGA Brilliant widescreen performance

With WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, the Epson PowerLite Presenter is ideal for use with widescreen computers. Its 16:10 aspect ratio allows you to fully utilize the capabilities of your widescreen notebook, giving you 30 percent more image area than a regular 4:3 projector and 10 percent more than a 16:9 projector. And, the PowerLite Presenter still offers the flexibility of displaying 4:3 and 16:9 images, as needed. Furthermore, it displays widescreen, HD video content for the ultimate entertainment experience.

Amazing color light output and white light output

With Epson projectors, your presentations are sure to shine bright. The Epson PowerLite Presenter delivers 2500 lumens of color light output and 2500 lumens of white light output* for rich, colorful, true-to-life images. Whether you’re projecting images with deep, dark colors or a white screen with minimal text or graphics, you get consistent light output for unsurpassed, accurate image quality. And, with Epson, you can be confident you’re getting what you need because Epson measures white light output according to the ISO 21118 standard, a more rigid standard than the maximum or outdated ANSI lumens rating used by competitive products.

ETORL Image Energy-efficient E-TORL® lamp

The innovative E-TORL lamp, exclusively from Epson, is a reliable performer that delivers more lumens per watt and lasts up to 5000 hours.*** Switch the projector to Normal Mode and the E-TORL lamp still produces up to 4000 hours of light performance. The special E-TORL design minimizes both light diffraction and light leakage, providing you the ultimate in lamp longevity — up to 50% more lamp life than competitive products. And, E-TORL replacement lamps cost up to $150 less than competing replacement lamps. So, while the E-TORL lamp maximizes your presentation time, it also minimizes your costs.

.Epson PowerLite Presenter Portable Projector / DVD Player Combo (V11H335120)

I work in an office where 11 of us live and die by our presentations. We train, distribute information, do planning sessions and communally edit documents. We do this with 14-plus offices in four states.

In one of our 100+ people field review sessions early in 2010, lack of projectors at field sites was identified as a weakness. We also find ourselves short a projector or two in the office because we go all directions with various equipment when we travel.

I'm loving Epson products more and more. I'm sold on their printer usefulness, image and other and quality and buy more of them all the time. In my projector search, I began looking for the smallest, lightest projector around. I found the Powerlite Presenter instead. It plays DVD's, has a built in 10 watt sound system, projects almost as bright as the best projectors on the market, and has a microphone. It also has USB A & B connectors, HDMI for HD cable and satellite TV, HD-DVR, Blu-ray or HD camcorder, RCA jacks and composite video and sound. Comprehensive and impressive. Much bigger than the smallest units on the market but not heavy considering its size.

This is where Silly Me comes in. I imagined that since the machine had a USB A connection, we'd be able to bring along a thumb drive with our PowerPoints and run the presentations directly from the USB. Don't even think about this my presenting brothers and sisters, I've already done it for you. The machine will read only jpeg, MP3, WMA, DivX, MPEG 1/2/3/4 from a USB or external drive. Digital cameras connect easiy.

I was looking for a projector to use in presentations where I often switch between DVD clips and PowerPoint. This machine allows me to do it very quickly and almost seemlessly by having the DVD player in the projector. In the past, you would have to stop the PowerPoint by going off the slide show mode and then start the DVD back up from the computer which wasted time, disrupted the flow of what I was saying and looked unprofessional to the audience. Now I simply toggle between sources and it works great! It does exactly what I wanted, with both excellent picture quality and very good sound. I connect a Bose single speaker to it (through the headphone outlet - the only way to have external sound output) for an incredible quality presentation. It is larger than most other portable models, but for what I want it to do, the extra weight and size doesn't matter. Not to mention the fact that I was able to buy this here for almost $100 less than I could find it anywhere else and the bulb is rated for more hours than normal at a cheaper replacement cost. I am extremely happy that I made this purchase!

So I thought I found a good deal, but as usual it was riddled with half-hearted features that didn't actually work. Most reviews I had viewed on this product stated that you would be able to view and control PowerPoint presentations through a USB JumpDrive or Memory Card; the only recognizable formats from such devices are MPEG 1-2-4, DIVX, MP3, JPEG, and WMV - absolutely no support for PowerPoint (PPT).

I then figured I might be able to save my presentation as an ordered set of JPEG pictures and control them with the remote; I was wrong! When you view images from a USB JumpDrive or Memory Card it displays them in it's own automatic transitioning slide show. You might think as I did that you could use the arrow keys on the remote to control the navigation of the JPEG's, but you'd be wrong, the arrows simply rotate the currently displayed JPEG.

Then I tried to play an MPEG 2 video off of a USB JumpDrive as it states in the User's Guide that came with the product. The video was clunky and skipped almost every two seconds the entire time it played. I tried different USB JumpDrives with the same result.

All in all it's a decent projector, but you'll still need a laptop to view just about ANYTHING and since a laptop usually already contains a DVD-ROM the only true "enhancement" this projector provides over the competition of a normal (dramatically cheaper) projector is the built in speakers and microphone jack. I am incredibly disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

This is a fine product.

Let's talk first about things it doesn't do:

- It doesn't tuck into your briefcase. It's large. Imagine a good quality business class projector with a DVD player and a small sound system grafted onto the bottom of it. It's a carry-on by itself.

- It doesn't have ceiling mount capabilities. But this system isn't well suited for that. Get something else if you want to ceiling mount.

- It doesn't work well as a stand-alone presentation tool. I'd expected to be able to build a presentation, export it as a series of JPG images, then do presentations of those JPG's from a USB thumb drive. But the presentation options are abysmal. It plays the JPG's in the order as listed on the drive. The rate is automatic and preset. In order to hold on a slide, I have to start the slide show, pause the slide, talk about the slide, play to get the next slide and then pause for the next. There is a long blackout between images. It is a jarring transition.

- There is no monitor out for a confidence monitor.

What it does well:

- It plays every dvd that I've put in it without fail.

- It's quiet. I've had movie night at my house with other projectors. Fan noise has been a problem. Fan noise isn't a problem with this projector.

- Shut-off is immediate. I'm used to shutting off the projector and having the fan cycle up for a couple of minutes cooling off the lamp before you can pack up. Turn this one off and pack it up. It's ready to go.

- For a mixed media environment, it's ideal. I'll start a presentation from my laptop. I'll switch the source to the projector's internal DVD or to an external blue-ray, play the movie clip and return to the presentation.
